Thread: Vanishing Vendors or Vendor Items

Here's some more info for you..(sorry I am really upset over this,, and can't even bring my self to play with things how they are so might as well spend time here in the forums)..
1. Since the patch, my vendors will not appear if i log out in the guild hall. When I log in, everything in the GH is gone.. I have to step out side for a few minutes, then re-enter the GH, then the vendors and rest of the decorations will appear and functionally normally.
2. Items somehow randomly get moved around the GH by themselves. One day when I logged in, the big piano thingy that musicians use (and we keep in the guild hall for the occasion) was flung up against the vendor, totally hiding the vendor. No idea how it got moved. We have a rather small guild (like 8 ppl), and one of them very well could have moved it, but I really doubt it.
1. That happens to me too. Just a product of how they are loading the interiors of the structures now. I have hopes that they will fix that.
2. Yea this happens to me too becasue musicians can play a narlagon that they don't own. When they start to play it it gets moved. Is your PA Hall public? If so any musian could have been playing it and it could have been moved in the process.
If you move the narlagon in a corner, it shouldn't move around quite so much, so walls ware on either side. In my house it like the back right corner for some reason.
I had a weird problem with my vendor, instead of items disappearing, I had some items that I had sold reappear on my vendor. It was factory crates.... of elf suits and they all reappeared on my vendor, I resold them and got the money but the gentleman who bought them didn't get his items.
How can items reppear once bought? Seems a bit odd to me. I remember selling the crates, though i did not save the emails from the sales.
We need more lots...
Ive lost 1.5 million worth of combat medic stims
around 50k of spices and other stuff on one vendor so far. I will be checking the others tonight
I lost about fiftyt hings last night, could not tell you exactly what it was but it is gone. I found out about this bug last night.
I recreated my vendors after the patch. Atleast I found out about it before my area poisons and area ranged stims started poofing. I only lost all the stuff on my clearance vendor which is stuff I mess up on in experimentation and a whole run of Poison As. Think I lost some ranged stim Cs and Ds but not sure. I have over 300 items up sometimes. At about 170 now.
I have all NPC vendors created post patch and they are all named different. The shop is in an area that missions spawn at quit often.
sorry if this is not exactly what is addressed in this post... but I have nowhere else I can go *on the verge of tears* I have had a few problems with my vendors, all of which happened Nov 28th, Friday after Thanksgiving (at least that's when I noticed) I've created a ticket that morning and have received not a single word for any devs. Was hoping someone here would know what to do. ![]()
Vendor Problem #1
the entire first page of items in my vendor's storeroom disappeared. I'm new as a merchant so I don't know if that's supposed to happen. I've checked up on my items now and then and they were there before that last patch. Friday morning I look and they're all gone. 100 krayt segments and scales *weep uncontrolably* yes, they've been there for a while... maybe 2 weeks? If it was "meant" to happen, I don't understand how we're supposed to storeanything in game. I simply don't have the amount of lots needed to store things as a merchant. if it was "meant" to happen, there should be some kind of skill that increases house stash for merchants (but that's going off on a tangent)
created and sent ticket (as well as bug report but not holding my breath on that one)
Vendor Problem #2
same day (got upset and logged, took deep breaths and chanted "it's only a game, it's only a game" for a few hours and came back). I sold roughly 365k worth of armor (all full sets in packs, 3 in all) while I was gone and the **edit** vendor stole every credit of it! *slap vendor* I got no credits from the sales. Got the emails just fine. but when I looked in the inventory/bank expecting to see the credits, I didn't. I also sold some individual pieces and didn't get the credits from that either. it's been 4 days, I'm still waiting for the beotch to return my hard-earned credits ![]()
couldn't create another ticket without deleting the previous and I thought krayt segs and scales were just more important to me than the credits.
Vendor Problem #3
on one of the sales of full sets of armor in packs (of the 3 I never got the credits for), when my customer went to retrieve it from the available items window, he couldn't. It said item unavailable. But I got the email saying it was sold to him. He says he got his credits back. But I didn't get my armor back. It kinda just disappeared. *slap vendor again*
I asked my customer to create and submitt a ticket on my behalf, and he kindly did so (if you're reading, not that you would have reason to... Thank you, Krammer!)
So that pretty much sums up my vendor problems... not sure if any or all of them are bugs. But someone please say something about it. I don't know what to do. it's just been ignored so far. I was polite in my ticket request (albeit peeved and showed it, but I really really tried and didn't point fingers or anything, just wanted them to fix the problem, or at least say something about it so I know what to do.)
in addition, to answer the questions posed:
1) I do not have any PLACED/INITIATED vendors of the same name (do vendors created and stored in my inventory count?)
2) I don't think either of the 2 are on bountries
3) neither are in player cities
4) the items (and in this case, credits also) DID NOT appear after server reset
Thank you very much,

Just thought I'd chime in with my vendor situation also. I haven't noticed anything missing. I've been receiving "Auction Unsuccessful" emails and my items were in the stockroom. I checked some of the timestamps on my auctions and quite a few of them were down to less than 10 minutes remaining. Here's my answers, hope this helps somewhat:
1. Do you have multiple Vendors with the same name? No
2. Is your vendor to your knowledge on a server boundry. No
3. Is your vendor in a player city? No
4. Does your vendor or items return with a server reset? NA
Great work Doc! I posted this in the development forum as well ![]()
We hope to have a solution soon!
Well until I read these threads I was ok with the fact that I lost 22 statues in my stockroom with the standard "we have no record of you ever having them" response in my CTRL H ticket even though I PURCHASED them on that same vendor 12 days previous....
Now I am rather upset I just discovered I lost 17 krayt pre nerf weapons that breached the 14 day mark... and I imagine I will be told "we have no record of that loss and therefore can't replace anything" again

Just to recap what seems to be the case so far:
For the past couple of days players have been reporting items vanishing from their vendors. The current information gathered from many players indicates that items placed for sale on a vendor are disappearing from the vendor once they have been on sale for 14 days. We are actively researching this issue and will provide an update as soon as we have any information.
Fixing this issue is a top priority.
Any information you have that might shed more light on this issue is appreciated. If you are looking for a way to possibly avoid losing items the following method might help:
1. Any items nearing 14 days on sale (16 days remaining for a 30 day auction) should be retrieved from the vendor and put back on sale from your inventory (not the stockroom).
2. Any items which have been expired into the stock room should be retrieved from the vendor and put back on sale from your inventory (not the stockroom).
It cannont be guaranteed that this will prevent item loss as we are still researching this issue but these steps are a possible way to avoid item loss if the current evidence proves to be a correct representation of what is occuring.
And of course we can all expect to get them back.... hmmm let's not hold our breath....
No offence SOE but you haven't exactly been the best about replacing the items from your program errors that hurt your customers....
