Thread: Post here is you are not getting emails
Padre
I have a different issue but it may help in detecting a problem.
2 different servers, 2 different characters
Character Name: Chiana Me'lya
Server: Chilastra
When you do not get them: (All the time, while logged off) Working fine as far as I can tell.
Planet Vendor is on: Corellia near cnet
Your Char Race: Bothan
Other Info you want to add: Her email seems to be working as intended, not trouble here
Character Name: Wisp (no last name)
Server: Lowca
When you do not get them: (All the time, while logged off) I made a brand new character on this server 2 days ago. She had emailabout buying and selling items that were from June or July when the game first came out. Maybe someone quit the game with the same name? I am not sure but it was very strange. I posted this here in hopes that it may help figure out what the problem is. Someone leaves the game but leaves their vendors there, does the email go to someone with a similar name? Maybe this is why some emails do not appear in other players emails?
Planet Vendor is on: no vendor, no house, no skills yet in anything
Your Char Race: Twi'lek
Other Info you want to add: I just hope this helps somehow. Most people have disappearing email and I have email appearing on a brand new character.
Greetings,
If you are still having this issue, please place a Ticket in game. CSRs now have a tool to address this issue.
Character Name: Geovani
Server: Kauri
When you do not get them: When logged off
Planet Vendor is on: Corellia
Your Char Race: Human
Other Info you want to add: I dropped merchant totally, but still have vendors

Has anyone that had the "no email" problem used this method to get it fixed? If so, please let us know what they did and whether you have full email functionality now.
I am very suspicious when I read there is a solution yet I hear no one saying they have had their problem fixed.
**** SUCCESS *******
i got a CSR to help me yesterday...only took about 5 minutes....apparently it works!!!!
my mail is there when i log in and out and i am getting mail when logged off
Could you please tell me what they did in order to help you?
I spent about 20-30 minutes with a CSR and we could not get the condition to work.
We did /emptymail and /save mail.
Then he sent me a message (while I was online) and I disconnected. He sent me another while I was offline and I reconnected.
My inbox was empty still.
Then we tried same sequence but this timeI did "/sit" and "/logout" - still inbox was empty.
Problem (for me) still exists and has not been corrected.
he did a restore character..
then i am not sure ...but he said it wwould delete ALL my mail, so maybe he just deleted it all?

Okay I filed a ticket. While I was online a CSR replied to it but did not communicate with me. The message said /emptymail was added but it doesn't work for all people if it doesn't work for you then there is nothing more we can do for you. Guess what--it doesn't work for me. So I don't have email still.

Well - a CSR helped me last night (the second attempt). And it worked this time.
What was done:
1. They issued some command from their side - do not know what command.
2. Forwarded my character information to the DEVs
3. Told me to logout and remain logged out for 30 minutes so my information would be removed from server's memory
4. Was instructed to do the following before I logged back on - rename my Profiles folder to Profiles1
I did that, logged back on and my inbox was NOT empty. (as it has been for over 3 months now)
All of my old email (before September) is lost forever it seems, but at least it is working correctly now.
Forgot to add to my post:
After success was obtained, I renamed the new Profiles folder to Profiles2 and the Profiles1 back to Profiles. I didn't want to have to rebuild my macros, toolbars, friend's list and anything else stored in Profiles.
Doing so did not seem to have any effect on my email working correctly again, as I believed all along the problem was server side and had nothing to do with the client.
