Yeah, what's up with that? Is it a bug or something? While searching for my hundreds of factory crates, only one ofmy crateskept popping up page after page. It was a crate of backpacks that I've had forever. I don't want to keep seeing the same items when I click "next page". It finally went away after the fifth page or so...

Logged on today, set all of my vendors for the GV function....but only my NPC vendors gave me the little system message that said "you are now searchable"...

double checked my status and it said i was searchable

didnt trust it so i ran to my local NPC city bazaar terminal and........

nothing on my non-NPC vendors showed up at all. I searched all 80 pages and ...nothing

am I the only one?

Well, I have posted here prior to use as being sceptical. I have now tried it out and generally I'm more impressed than I thought I would have been.

I like the fact that you can't just buy but get given a waypoint (which worked nicely, even off-planet)

It's a nice way of being able to see what people are charging, find some bargains and check how competitively I am priced.

However...

* the endless scrolling of pages is a 'mare

* items repeating on multiple pages is a 'mare (I do wonder if it's a bug or simply where a vendor with multiple items at the same name and price is listed on several pages instead of in one lump).

* lack of a search isa 'mare

* ultimately it's showing up the categories to be inadequate (anyone tried MISC > GENERIC ITEM yet?)

yup.

I put my vendors up, can't see 'em anywhere. Can't see any player vendors on the bazaar at all. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I don't think so. The bazaar looks the same as it ever did.

Did you click the "Vendor Listing" tab on the right?

I shoved my Gals on search as soon as I loaded in game, Jumped over to Cnet hit the bazaar, clicked the search tab and sure enough a flood of clothing with my lable.
so It is working just fine (other then the repeating of previous pages which bazaar always had)

Get Wp actually works correctly too, i tried it and several planets and it gave me the 'home ' planet of vendor like it should.

Not saying I fully agree with what this does or how it was implemanted, but it is working.

Once I hit page18 looking for things, I just gave up.

I predict that many other people will too.

Except dedicated resellers. Of course I don't think resellers were really supposed to be theprimary beneficiaryof this change.

Question.

If I have Business III, register my vendor, then drop Business III, I know I get to keep the vendor for a month, but do I still get to stay on the terminals?

If so, I see a fast, easy and sizable exploit available.

oh are you kidding?! It's the new SWG minigame- see who can sit and stare the longest.

I know I played it before the search came in with the bazaar feinds and by walking to each vendor, but now I don't ever have to move..I can sit..and stare..all day...at the same listings..from the same vendor....because the page refreshes with previous items....

I have, and my eyes will never be the same again. In other news, I just restocked 20 or 40 rug and gong parts, and I think tomorrow I'll pull everything but dyes, skins, plating and patches and give them a nice Viking burial in the brazier in front of City Hall.

It's a bug, it's one that's been in a looooooooooong time. I'm still wondering why they didn't get that and the category issues fixed before they put this live.

Yeah I really like the new system, perhaps it will equilize the economy a bit? THe only thing they need now is to seriously throw in a search.

I turned on all but 3 vendors this morning. I didn't have time to look at the bazaar, and from what I am reading, I am sorry I didn't take the time. I am NOT happy about the *search by price* option I am reading. Like many of us, I felt this should be an additional advertising tool and not provide delivery OR prices. I agree that this has taken a LOT of value away from being a merchant.

I also argee that we whould all USE the system provided. There are literally millions of items out there to be searched... and it ain't going to be easy for any customer. (imagine the yellow pages with all items a store sold listed as well). But it is easy enough for us to "flip the switch".

I am considering creating a "survey mail" to send to any new customers in the next week - asking how they found my shop. Maybe if some more merchants try that, we can get some data for the devs, or find out that it isn't as awful as we thought it would be.

You just nailed it, heh!

Let us know what the customer survey thing tells you. I tried one on TC5, where I had tons of sales due to very few people being on the search terminal, but apparently everyone was there to try out templates, because last I looked no one had responded.
