They took away the ability to buy from the bazaar which is good for you guys, since people will still come into your shop and browse around anyway (I know I did while looking for an item I saw on there).
I'm GLAD I can see the prices. This will hopefully control the horribly inflated prices people have set for the most inane things. 100k for an at-st helmet (the non-wearable one!)? Good grief.
But anyway, I dont see anything changing. It's mostly just a sales paper. And I'm all for competitive pricing.

Actually I'm not sure why all of you are complaining? I presonally love this change, as a master merchant not having the best location in the galaxy (outside C-Net) I find it very hard to get consumers to visit my shop outside theed.
While I refuse to use advertising droids that add the the already too much spam problem, I have noticed an increase in the number of people coming to my shop, which I attribute directly to galaxy wide serach option. I havent changed my pricing model to get others to visit me more, I'm using the same prices I always have, but finally I can compete with those in the prime locations.
I for one love this feature and hopefully will bring down prices and make the market more competitive.

half of merchant is now useless..all the feedback given since..forever..ignored..feedback on the latest change...ignored...2 years and our vendor interface system is still cumbersome and inefficient...merchants are getting NO love, while we're getting bent over by the devs in favor of the combat folks...no i'm not bitter..

We get a fabulous salmon-pink protocol droid at master merchant.
Oh c'mon now...that definitely makes up for everything we've been through..

...and Elyssa, he doesn't need to talk. Most vendors won't shut up!

I sense a conspiracy.

But doesn't it strike you as odd that a droid who's sole reason for existence is talking... can't?

I think it does talk. It's just no one can hear it. Do you have the Protocol Droid Volume turned up in the sound options? Didn't think so. Also make sure you have theboxlabeled "See Spatial Spam From Master Merchant Protocol Droids" checked in yourCNTRL+O preferences.
There's a similar saying that applies here. "If a tree falls in the woods, and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?" It's the exact same thing, except totally different...
I hope this helps.
