I can run my business just fine, and there will be less annoyance when shopping for something myself. 999999999 backpacksget to me, as a customer.

I have just as much crap as the next person for my business. I make do. I don't just save everything, only what I need. I don't even use my factories as storage.

Sure, more storage would be nice, I'd sure love it. But I agree that vendor caps make no sense if you can "workaround" them. I view this as another good change that I look forward to. I'm pretty sure most people won't like it, but oh well. I know plenty of merchants, myself included, who have never used their vendors for storage.

It's not just about storage. This will put a severe limit on how you package your products for sale. You may not sell products that require bundling - but there are many crafts and services that do.

The only backpacks on my vendors at 9999999 are for signage - that's all. I used to price them (signage) at 1K credits but they kept on being bought.

The only person I can see the bundling effect are Armorsmiths. But even if you sell suits with what 8 pieces total, that's still approx 444 suits you can have stocked at one time, and that includes the backpack. That's plenty. Even if you sell 100 suits a week, that's still enough stock for a month. I've never even seen 1 armorsmith stock over 200 suits at once, much less over 400. I have however, seen people with 200-300 storage backpacks on their vendors.

Honestly, I very much doubt that most people are upset about this because of being able to provide less bundling. I'd say 90% of those upset use their vendors for storage. I understand that to a degree considering there are no other acceptable forms of mass storage available at this time. However, in light of the fact that many people make do without using their factories or vendors as storage, I refuse to believe that it "can't" be done. It's just that people don't want to.

If this gets rid of some of the vendors marked "Resources" that has 1 actual resource for sale on it, and 200 storage packs, then I'm all for it. Coupled with the caps and other vendor changes, it will make shopping a much better experience instead of the chore it is now.

I play an armorsmith, one of the classes that will be affected by this buff. I sell around 100 suits of armor a week, so I go through a lot of inventory. However, with the current item limits I can stock on my vendors:

200 suits of composite

100 suits of ubese

50 suits of wookie armor

And still have 1000 items left over for piece sales and vehicle sales as well. This, I feel, is acceptable to me.

Ill break it down for you a little more.

All looted components should be stacked, but arent, requiring them to be sold in a pack.

Sets of armor, and buffs, need to be sold in sets to be effective in most cases. Im sure there are others im missing here as well.

Weaponsmiths are required to store tissues for later use, requiring a pack. This goes for Cm loot, doc loot, and armorsmith loot as well.

If you are doing ok with your tailor vendor, great. If you would like others to accept a nerf because it wont effect you... Perhaps you should not comment at all, and leave those who it will effect to state their opinions.

Alrighty, and I'll break it down for you:

-Most Looted components come in sets of less than 10, with very rare sets of 12. Still plenty of room.

-I just covered the armor thing. Even the armorsmith above me posted that he sells 100 suits a week, which is quite a bit, and even he says it's acceptable. You can stock 571 buffpacks at once.

-No one is "required" to store anything for later use. As I said, I won't ever buy the excuse that you "must" use your vendors for storage. It's not a fact.

-I said nothing about wanting others to accept "the nerf". I said that *I* like the changes.

-I also never said that these changes don't effect me. As you only know ONE of my professions, you have no clue whether it does. You're just assuming that since I'm notscreaming about the changes that I must not have as big of a need in my crafting as you or others. You're wrong. Sinceyou do not know jack about my professions, or what effects me and what doesn't, perhaps you should not comment on that.

-I'm a Merchant. These are the Merchant boards. I have just as much of a right to post my opinion as you do yours.

Were it up to me, I would have relived you of your position for that post alone.

What is your problem? Its just a game! If it were up to me,Id make you stopplaying and go outside forawhile.

Hmm I'm just surprised there is someone on this forum after the last two weeks thinks relieving me of this position would be some kind of punishment.

Look I'm not trying to belittle anyones concerns or complaints. My own personal opinion about the changes isn't really relevent. I am allowed to have them however just as any of you are I pay my subscription fees just like everyone else. There is no answer to "I hate this game" Why WOULD you play a game you hate??? I don't get that..

Your job is to makethe merchant class better. That is all you are here for. You get the merchant's concerns to the devs.

If you were here to diminish our opinions, or belittle somones thoughts,I would say you are doing great. However, you arent here to do that.

You are not doing your job. You are making merchants angry. You arehinting that people should leave the game. You dont even make good coffee.

I dont suggest you put this on your resume.

Wait.. I never said you wouldn't be able to USE backpacks

I said the contents would count toward the item count. You can continue to use them all you want. Just don't exceed your item count with them or you will have to get under it again when they fix it. I'm sorry for the confusion.

Please do ask about this directly. It's hard enough to provide merchant services without losing this. We really need better tools to work with if we are to sell goods for our friends.

I already know the answer. You aren't supposed to have more than 25 items up for sale on the Bazaar at anyone time. Using backpacks to "get around that" isn't really supported. It works now becuse they've been too busy to pay much attention to it.
