that is something that somehow got added with publish 10 it seems (at least I never observed it prior to publish 10): vendors now have a habit of targetting each other and of targetting passing vehicles.
They target droids too. I was buying a ton of stuff and I ran out of space in my inventory. I took out my crafting droid to use his storage compartment and all of the vendors tried to sell him stuff. They even used his name (Crafty). It was really pretty funny.

Ok I just tested the %TU and %NU that should give the speakers name, and they do not work either. So that it should be a targeting error is impossible.

Just tested last night with %TT and it didn't work for me. Canned ones work just fine.

Been playing for some time now - this feature has never worked. Please, keep us in the loop as to the CSR response.

Offtopic:
Does it bother anyone else here, that when you target an av-21, and do a %RT (target's species) it shows up as "Dewback"?

Actually I think dewback is a default in the string, for some reason.
It calls all sorts of things dewbacks.

and my vendors like to have conversations with each other too, so I put duck tape on all but one of them to shut them up. Now my main vendor is the boss and the other two know it and keep quiet.

I reacently had a few macros give me some unexpects results. I had made a harvest macro and added "/echo harvesting hides from %TT" as I was using aliases to change what my main macro harvested.
To my surprise it did not put in the targets name, but just used "%TT"
I of cause thought of this topic, even though I have not been reading the merchant boards. It a nice to se this one is still active, (so I did not have to start a new one).
Anyway I did some testing, and %TT and it kind do not work in tells either. So the problem might be that a vendors culmination is not defined right. Just thorght I would add a bit more info here... you know someone might try to fix it one day
