Blah blah Blah blah blah." cant remember what exactly it was, but i remember it WAS NOT canned message. it had the name of the shop in the spoken message.i went home and tried it with %TT %tt tt% TT%i even did a // search to no avail (didnt really expect to find it in there anyway)edit:oh, also, i tried using the %TT on another player and it did work.Message Edited by LaurnaRose on 01-20-2005 05:09 PM
No we have had no word on this. It would really really really be helpful to find out the name of that shop.

My vendors Keep targeting other vendors in the Tent...... I'm thinking about writing up converations for them to have to amuse my guild members that walk by.... All 4 of my my vendors fighting with our Chef's vendors heheheheheh
that is something that somehow got added with publish 10 it seems (at least I never observed it prior to publish 10): vendors now have a habit of targetting each other and of targetting passing vehicles.
I done this in one of my tents i Have one vendor dressed in Marine armor and One Dressed as a stormtrooper they now argue with each other over Imperial Politics. (They also argue with passing speeder bikes so its not a perfect system)
Iused to have four vendors in the front, all female, doing something simlar, all dressed in skimpy outfits but one.
Human1(redheaded): "Greetings, noble one, I have the harvester you're needing! If it's a home you're looking for, see the witch over in the corner!"
Zabrak 1: "Hey, who are you calling a witch! Just because you're sleeping with the boss, you're not the queen--just a slave like the rest of us!"
Twilek 1: "Get over it honey, he dumped you for the redhead, like my used furniture."
Human 2: (only one dressed frumpy) (Earnestly) "Hssst! Not in front of the customers you two! Oh, hello, may I interest you in a swoop or speeder today?"
and if you got close enough to the wall, you'd hear the storage vendor in the back, Human 3: "(Whispers) Elizor is that you? I think she's suspcious of us, dear."
Ok, so it's silly and juvenile. But I got a lot of emails from people who got a kick out of it.
Nice! I wondered if anyone would make something like this in a shop!
OK, on topic now. Doc, is it possible that this feature was working at one time and has since been broken but still works if it was inplace? This would account for the lack of ability to do it now (tried this on a male and female version of each vendor the other day) and would also account for the reports of it working.

Err, I thought it was %NT?
Both %NT and %TT are valid variables. Neither work for vendors as far as I can tell.
I've never known anyone who had this work. Its always been broken as far as I know. The stories about it working are, frankly, difficult to believe.
Puertoriqueno wrote:I have seen people use this variable in tells when AFK buffing. If that is the case, it may only be designed to work in a macro. Just a guess.
The problem wth that is that SOE personnel insist it does work.
ELAzalin wrote:If i understand the problem right....all my ad barkers are customized
The problem is that we can't get the user variables like %TT to work in the custom ad barking. It is supposed to say the targets name but instead it just says %TT.
