Ok - I finally have one!

I sign on to check my vendors and I see I have had a very good few days with over 1mil in new credits from my resource vendors. That'sa record for me and I did it withno advertising and no vendor search function active.

My resources start at <1cpu.The majority are priced at 2cpu or less and I've put millionsinto my harvesters to get them. (I charge more for the really rare "uber"stuff, but I harvested it all myself from day 1 and nothing is over 10cpu -- even the best stuff.)

Mixed in with the 30+ sale emails, I see one that says:

you have the worst prices for resources i've ever seen. congratulations.

I replied with

thank you! :-)

and promptlybanned him from BOTH my shops -- including the one with clearance items that are priced low enough to be ridiculous, and from which he bought 5 crafting tools.

I think that 1mil+ in credits is proof enough that my prices are just fine thank you very much!

Well, I'm better than dirt! Well, most kinds of dirt.
I mean, not that fancy store-bought dirt.
That stuff's loaded with nutrients. I can't compete with that stuff.

Perhaps it was meant seriously as "You have the lowest prices on resources, thank you"? Not everyone is a native english speaker and he might have had trouble expressing himself?

I do Customer Service for a major hotel chain, and let me tell you that the level of sheer stupidity in the world is simply amazing. Believe me...they're not just in SWG.

I did customer service (and other things) for a cityand frankly, some people are too stupid to breathe without careful training.

"My water bill is too high! What are you going to do about it?"

"Well sir, have you checked your toilets--"

"Yeah, I checked the toilet. And there's nothing wrong with them, except thatit hangs up and keeps running. All we gotta do is jiggle the handle and it stops. So why are you overcharging me on water?"

"Uh, sir, if you fix the toilet, your bill may go down. If it does, we even have an adjustment to reward you for making the repair. We credit you for half of the excess--"

"Half! Why not all of it? It's not MY fault the toilet leaks!"

"Uh.... it's not the city's either, sir. And it's your toilet."

"What does that have to do with anything? I didn't have this problem when I lived in an apartment!"

---------------------------------

And this is one of the moderately bright ones....the stupid ones thought if they kept howling we'd lower the bill.

I admit, I'm a bigot. I hate stupid people.

I agree with both of you,the idiots are NOT just in SWG.But whats fun about reading other peoples experiences is that even in a game people expect things for free. It's a GAME!Geez!Next they'll tell Sony to stop charging them the monthly fee because the game isnt 'fun enough'....*sigh* We just cant ever escape stupid people, they breed too fast!

I would agree with you had he bought something from one of the resource vendors. However, his sarcasm was pretty clear in this case.

I finally had a customer I wanted to throw in. I'm a master tailor. I'm in the cantina, hanging out with some friends grinding the musician part of master entertainer. I get a tell from *uberswgcharactername'* are you a tailor? I didn't have my tag up but i get alot of word of mouth business. So I say yes, want the waypoint to my shop? He says no I have specific things I want you to make me. I say ok, just email me the colors and styles and I'll get to it as soon as i can. It takes a few minutes, then I get an email. He wants several things all named *swgcharactername'*'s shirt, pants ect. I send him a tell explaining that no one will be able to see what his clothing is called but him. He didn't say anything so I stop playing, go outside and call my droid and make the 1st piece, and name it *swgcharactername*'s shirt. Then I scan down and notice he has black high quaility boots, so I send a reply to his email explaining that high quality boots don't look great in dark colors. He sends it back, "don't question it just do it and get the credits" I answer that I was just trying to help, but since he wants to be rude he can find another tailor. He sends me a reply that since he's paying he doesn't have to have manners. I destroyed *swgcharactername*'s shirt I had made, since I couldn't sell it to anyone else.

The more i think about it i wonder, the items he picked out weren't cheap. I'm thinking maybe I would have made them, and he would never have picked them up. I wouldn't be able to sell any of it, or I wouldn't have...what do you guys think?

In reply to Mariska's post:

That guy was an idiot. I might have bought the stuff if it was cool, though. I mean, just like you said, nobody would see the items' names anyway.

You can no longer throw annoying customers in solo.

Also, /tossCustomer has a long warm up and cool down time and if the customer does anything else annoying during the warmup, it will abort and you'll have to start over.

If the customer is a higher level than you, they will toss you in instead.
You will need to group with a lvl 80 character in order to avoid being eaten by the sarlacc along with your annoying customer.

Either way, you probably won't get any XP for tossing them in.
