This program is so cool
Message Edited by Iwra on 04-30-2004 02:58 PM
This program truly is a master piece. I however has a bug that you said was being adressed in the next update. Do you have an eta on the next version of this excellent software? ![]()
Thanks and keep up the good work.

Yes this truly is an amazing program and I cant live without it. ![]()
I however, get the same bug as the guys above. Looking forward with great anticipation for the next update.
This is a program useful to lazy business people like me...
Nothing....You heard NOTHING!
How exactly do you search out the corrupt emails? I tried searching for mails containing the word Auction and deleted all the other mails. Still get the same error message even though I only have Auction mails now. I have thousands of emails (maybe a little less, but you get the point). I do not have the patience to look through them all. ![]()
If you havea good way to fix this let me know. Otherwise, I just have to be patient and wait for the update. ![]()
Lets say you have 1000 emails, numbered from 1000 to 2000.
(the numbers in swg-email are much larger, but it will be the same principle).
You do not know which email is causing an error.
The first thing you need to do is to make an extra mail folder, where you can test the messages. Obviously, testing each message will take too long time.
Copy the first 500 messages to this new folder. Run merchants friend. One of two things can happen. The program fails, or the program works.
If the program works, you know that the faulty email must be somewhere in email 1501-2000, if it fails you know you have a faulty email somewhere between 1000 and 1500.
If it fails, you remove email 1000-1250, and run the program on message 1250-1500. You then repeat the process, allways halving the number of emails you test, to eliminate the good email. If you have a lot of emails, it will still take some time to isolate the faulty email.
At last you will get to a managable number of emails that you can inspect, or test one by one. During this process, it may be useful to write down the range of numbers you test, otherwise it is easy to forget.

Thanks for the info starworker. ![]()
Sounds like a lot of work to me. If I am really desperate some night I will try it though. Hopefully the fix for this problem is not far away. *Crossing fingers* ![]()
I'm trying to use this program, but when i go to select the character the drop down does not populate with options...
I select the directory, account, and server however the character drop down has no options...any ideas?
