I'd really liike to hear something more on this thread. These are real bugs and they are costly. A friend in game just lost several items all at once to this, so far I've only lost 2 but that is still 2 too many.

The problem is still that I don't have factual evidence that people are losing items. I need more data on this. Provide me exact details on what happened. I need clear cases where you know Item X was for sale it wasn't purchased and was reported deleted. Those can be tracked. I need you to document it and submit a ticket then let me have the details and the ticket number in a PM and I will forward it on to the dev team.
So far the evidence seems to indicate that there is something going on with the emails but most likely that the messages refer to property that ws already sold and is being delted from the "available" tab and not the stockroom tab.

Thanks for the response and the effort you put into representing the community.
I'll be glad to follow this process and I'll let my friend know to keep his eyes out.
I've had it happen twice, both time I deleted the email before I realized it said, "Expired". (i go through a LOT of emails)
In both of those cases though, now about 3 weeks apart, the most recent being this week, I had no items pending, nothing in any of the "rooms" except sales, and I can be 100 and 10% sure that the item should not have expired. As I said before, I remove everything on the 1st of the month, empty the vendor dry, and then put it all back.

I have been getting these emails too but they are from items being sold on the bazaar. Nothing was in the stockroom or the avialale tab during this time. Therefore they are sold items that are somehow not being marked as sold by the database. Either that or sold items that have not be retrieved by the customer

Definite bug...lost over 300 pieces of enhanced clothing - they never went to the stockroom that I could see, and believe me, I would have seen 300 items in my stockroom
Further, my stockroom is severely bugged as well - the first time I log on and check it, everything is ok, but the minute I do something to an item in there, then for the rest of the logged duration, it says my stockroom is empty...and it is doing this to 2 vendors, in 2 different locations.
BOOOOOOO....
HELP US TH, YOU'RE OUR ONLY HOPE

Again, we all know that those mails don't concern items that were in the stockroom. In lots of cases the stockroom is empty. But again, there is no concrete proof so far that those emails were about items that were on sale. Nothing. So far, everyone is saying they lost some items to the bug, but nobody has given any precise example of an item that was on sale and poofed when you got the mail.
In any case, all theconcrete examplesso far tend to show that all those items you are getting the mails about have been sold, so you're not losing anything. No, we shouldn't get those emails in the first place, our customers should. No, we don't know if the items mentionned in those emails were never retrieved by the customers or if they retrieved them but the auto-retrieval was bugged so they had to do it manually and the itemssomehow still count as not retrieved - but I personally think that it's the case, and even if I agree that this bug needs to be fixed, it is no harm to the merchant.

Wrong - those items were on sale. They weren't purchased. If you want proof, stop by Scylla and watch me working my facs over the next couple of days to restock.

Well I too have only had this problem only since the last patch, as others have stated. So far I've gotten three "Expired Item" emails all for the same custom order, which I know was NOT for sale at the time or in my daily checked storeroom, so in this case it appears to be a stubborn ghost of a long since sold item. However I have several other "Expired Item" emails I cannot confirm as being bogus, and it sounds like many other people are actually loosing real items. Sergia has saidher actually item count went down by 300+ items ?? Yikes, was this in 1 day ?Makes you wonder whats broke, whats not, what we can trust ... right now we areleftnot trusting the information system that is so important to the crafting/merchant community and it seems like all SOE wants to do is sit around and wait for the players to figure it out.

This is happening and stuff is getting deleted from the game. I am 100% sure of it. The big time sellers may not see it because it only one item at a time. It is there do not let people confuse you. You do lose stuff but you may not see it because of the mass quantity you have on you vendor and only losing one thing is hard to nosiest but it is gone. This started right after the patch it is a bug seems to be spreading through out the game as peoples action come to an end and they have to go and restock there vendors.

Cadof, proof it. I'm not saying you are wrong, but there is not much they can do without you reporting it and giving them evidence about what happend. Just saying 'I lost my stuff' will not help them and us any further.

The following is the history of my ticket, I salute to thethird CSR who took the time to go through the logs and explain what mighthave happend.Yes, 3 different CSR's dealt with this issue... I'm not sure if that resolves it as I just read Sergias posting and she's a respected merchant on Scylla. (why don't they let us copy the ticket? grrr...):

I have received to mails on July 8 (08:11:11 CET and 08:11:36 respectivly) stating that I failed to pick up two dearic candles and that they expired. However, my stock room was empty! Did these items just poof from my vendor? I have other vendors selling more valuable stuff - is there currently a risk of loosing items?

Greetings Rehavam: CSR-xxxxxx here,
Thank you for submitting a ticket regarding your expired items. What seems to be the case in your situation is that the expired items email was notifying you that after 7 days, your items have been deleted from the storeroom. The vendor process allows an item to stay up for sale for 30 days, after which it enterrs the stroreroom for 7 days- if not retrieved, the item is then deleted.
If you have more information and/or believe this to nnot be the case, please respond to this ticket with an additional comment. Otherwhise, please remember to delete this ticket using the Customer Service interface in the Holocron at your next opportunity and thank you very much for playing Star Wars Galaxies!
Sincerely,
CSR-xxxxxx

Hello Rehavam,
CSR-yyyyyy here, thank you for your reply. I checked the logs and can not verify that your items should not have been destroyed due to the 7 day stockroom deletion of items. We can not offer a reimbursal for this loss. If you feel that this was caused by a bug please report the issue with the /bug command. That way the testing department can look into the issue. I apologize fory any inconvenience this has caused you, I hope that this does not continue to happen. Thank you for your time, safe travels!

I have used the /bug command on other issues months ago but those bugs are still arround. Why should I bother if nobody cares and/or reply's with generic answers anyway? I'm not blaming anyone peronally, but it's not very nice...
I do not want anything reimbursed. I don't care about the two candles. But there seems to be an issue with the vendors that seems to be ignored. Just check the forums... There was nothing in my stock room that should have been deleted - in fact there was nothing in my stock room at all. So where were these items when they got deleted? Were they perhaps purchased by customers and left on the vendor for 7 days? If so why do _I_ get the mail and not the customer that was supposed to pick up the item? Please feel free to forward this issue to the test team...

Hello Rehavam. this is CSR-zzzzz and I read your ticket and replies. I investigated your issue by searching our logs. I believe the two emails may be in error. I couldn't find any items in the last 2 weeks that belonged to your character which were removed from the game for not being picked up in time.
Your two emails came on July 8th. Seven days earlier on July 1st you did retrieve 14 Dearic Candles and put them back up for auction just seconds later. Perhaps the retrieval and replacement of the first candles was so quick that the system thought they weren't picked up. None of the 14 candles were destroyed from the game however. I think the error may be with the emails, and not your vendor. I do not think you need to worry about move valuable items desappearing as in this case, it appears that nothing disappeared.
I hope this information will resolve your issue. Please let us know if you need further assistance by adding a message to this ticket. If all is well, please delete this ticket and continue on with your adventures. Good luck and foot fortunes, Rehavam!

Ok look the ticket is in it has been in since the 6 of July. Also a ticket is in to / bug command I did not say any thing the first time it happen to me because I thought it was a typo also the item was a crate power ups and 10 of them came off sell at the same time and I have tones of these on sell all the time so I could not tell one was gone. The second time it was a LAV in witch I sold some of and could not reminder how many I sold so I still had no proof. The 3rd time I was paying a lot more attention to what I had in the vendors. And it just happens that it was a VN that diapered in witch I new how many I had and one was gone. So I put in a ticket in to the customer relations.I can not prove any of this because I personally do not take a screen shot of my vendors sales list every time I put something into it so basically I am screwed in getting any help in getting my stuff back. I do not know how you would prove something like this but I give you my word that I did lose that VN I am 100% sure of that. But it seem you word dose not mean crap to soe. Also if you do want you stuff back the only way is to take a screen shot of what you put into it when you put it in and where you put it in. Also been back in forth with customer relation but nothing has come out of it but the normal back and forth bs that we are sorry but we can not do any thing to help you. In total it has happen 4 times to me since the patch. Saved all the emails so I know what was lost and when it was lost but it seems that crs don’t want it because I have offered it to them twice now and they have not asked me to send e-mails to them via in game or screen shot then e-mail. So there you go my life history with the vendor bug.

Add Naritus to the list ... I got two such mails but deleted them. Waiting for another one and will post it here with dates and full text. So our correspondent can forward them to the devs to check.
In my case it was small stuff ... food/chem crafting tools .. nothing serious YET. Mails started after last patch. Never got any of these before.
Again the storeroom was empty .. I upload everything that drops back into my storerom into "For sale" whenever I am online. So its in storeroom a maximum of 1-3 days.
Have fun
