Look I put a ticket into the crs and they told me that the item was deleted because of a 37 day rule that was with the vendors. Witch was is not true because it was not on the vendor that long. I am trying to fix this problem so it does not happen to me again. So hear is the probable I put a item up for sale on the vendor 30 days run out and the item comes off sale and the item is post go to the stock room. But one item does not and I get an e-mail that tells me that exact words on the email because you failed to pick up in time, the stun baton that you auctioning has expired. But the problem is that it never went to the sock room it just deleted it self and did not give me the 7 days to pick up the item out of the stock room. Or give me a email that it has been sent to the stock room. It is a rarity that I do not go to my vendor about every other day and check things out so I know that I did not miss it in the stock room. So the first and second time I did nothing about it because I could not prove or disprove that item was lost. But the third time I was paying a lot more attention to the vendors and new pretty much what was in the vendor and a vk was deleted I new how many I had and one was deleted. But I have no screen shot of this so all you have is my word and you do not know me so what good is that. The screen shots is the investigation the crs did your more than welcome to log on as me and check out the emails that where sent to me and my vendors. i had over a Million credits of stuff disappear out of my stock room back in march. i quit playing back then. i have been thinking about coming back. but not until this problem is fixed and not until i see how screwed the devs make the JTL expansion.


but this is the straw that broke my camels back. hope you didnt loose as much as i did.


oh and by the way, this is "working as intended". that comes straight from the CSR i emailed with. have fun all.

So much for a Smuggler revamp, maybe they should just rename us, it would take less time and be easy to do.
"Useless" would be my first choice as a name suggestion.


of course at this point there is no reason to revamp anything. SOE should just shut the game off.

Look Dawn you've spamming this all over the forum please stop it. I understand you don't agree with the policy of 7 day retention but what happened to you wasn't a bug and it isn't related to this thread which is about trying to determine if we are losing items or if this is just some weird email bug.

Well so many details it is hard to know were to start.

First the CSR's working with me are sincerly trying to help. They did not blow me off with the "working as intended" or "we cant replace...." They did ask for information that I may not have but I DID save the expired message emails and I lost over 1 million units of the finest Domestic grains that we have ever had along with a bunch of big ticket items. I do not think it is a 7 day deletion as I went thru my stockroom the friday before and relisted a bunch of stuff. I will stop deleting the auction unsuccessful messages however so I can keep better track.

The 30/7 rule was NOT being enforced till this latest patch. I know cause I left some worthless clothes in the stockroom to see how long they would last.

it would be REALLY REALLY nice if the stockroom listing would MENTION how many days/hours/min were left. Then we moght notice the change to the 7 day rule.

I still have to accept that the fault may be mine (Not removing relisting) but I thought I had. Having to service 6 vendors with over 1000 items every few days with the really bad interface is getting to feel too much like work.

I am now going to watch much more closely the stockroom and auction messages to try and help locate the bug(s). Too bad about the grain though. I would have noticed if it had been bought and expired from a customers account.

I havea feeling that the CSR's have finally come to the conclusion that something is wrong either with the emails and/or with the item decay on vendors. After answering with canned statemens initially theynow are looking into the logs. Keep it up people, if it happens to you open a ticket and describe what happend -keep your sales/expired/unsuccessful emails if possible. Lets help them find the cause of this asap!

Here's my quick story and bad news:


Bottom line: CSR discussed with me and informed me the system IS BUGGED at moment at they are working on it.


I had offered buff packs to a vendor, the customer forgot to buy them and they went unsold(no-emails), I assumed she had bought them tho. I have been checking her vendor last few days in offers/stockroom pages - no sign of them. Today I get mails saying the five items were 'expired' etc. These packs were very valuable.


Luckily, the CSR replied very quick to my ticket and re-imbursed my costs - however, the fact the is a bug there at moment is very worrying for all us merchants.


I have also sent bug report to Dev team.


Atleast they are onto the problem now so hopefully a fix soon

take a look at my post, where I list all the responses by 2 CSRs about the issue, which proves that they have no idea what is going on in game, are not hiring people with any customer service experience, nor infact for that matter anyone with any real programming experience


bye bye SWG hope someone has the spare time to sue you for everything you have

I can confirm that items are being expiring after being listed for 30 daysbut are not appearing in the Storeroom.


Itrack most of my higher end listings, and saw that 2 x Swoops I have listed on one vendor were nearing the 30day limit. I left them go over the time, did not get an "auction unsuccessful" message yet when I went to look for them, they had disappeared completely from the sales area. They had not been purchased by anyone, they were not in the storeroom, and 6 days after I had noticed they were gone I received the "your item has expired" message.


To date I have not lost much (the aforementioned swoops and about 10 crates of Pups and some minor listings of resources) and have no response from the CSRs.


This is a bug.

It's happening on Starsider too! And I think that Stuman is on to something. I regularly relist unsold items and never leave anything in my storeroom to rot and eventually expire, but I've still been getting one or two "expired" e-mails a day. I've noticed that some clothing items mysteriously disappear from the vendor, only to show up in an "expired" e-mail a few days later.


In short, it looks like there's some sort of vendor black hole:


  1. Items are listed and run for 30 days

  2. At the end of 30 days, some items are removed from the listing but do not fall into the stockroom and are instead unretrievably held in limbo

  3. 7 days later, the item being held in limbo expires, is deleted,and you receive an e-mail notifying you that it's gone

This is a bug and I think the only workaround is to continually withrdraw all your soon-to-expire items by hand and relist them. Until the bug is fixed, do not let big ticket items drop into your stockroom at the end of their 30 day listing.


I'm not sure what's causing all this, but I never received these e-mails before the bazaar fiasco where resource names and quantities stopped showing up.

Hmmm..but I'm still seeing items go into my stockroom. I'm going to have to monitor this more closely.

I think they should add a new option in the stockroom. All items that are in the stockroom because of expiring should be selectable at once via a checkbox, and a single button added that says 'Restock all selected items' .. thereby allowing everything to be restocked at the same price as last time in just a few clicks.


Would save lots of time.


Also a reminder email 2 days before an item is to expire would be good too.





What kind of game is SWG now?

Pre-CU:
Master Artisan, Master Shipwright, Master Merchant, Pistoleer 0020:
Favourite Weapon: FW-G5, Happy
After CU:
Much the same, but CL 54, Favourite Weapon FW-G5, Still happy
After NGE Game Downgrade:
Trader (Structures), same skills as every other trader in same specialty, CL2, can only use a CDEF, and no armor, NOT Happy -> Cancelled Account

Yap! The majority of items still go into the stockroom, but every once in a while, an item might get thrown into limbo instead of being put into the stockroom. 7 days later we receive an expiration e-mail when they get deleted.


The problem is so hard to track down because thedisappearing itemsare seemingly picked at random, plus they don't show up in the stockroom when they fall off the vendor, nor do they give an "Auction Unsuccessful" e-mail when their listing expires. The only indication we have that something is wrong is when we get the "item expired" e-mail, and it's already too late when we see that.
