Yeah, it seemed to me that before any of this happened items in storage went "poof" after 30 days. So 30 days on vendor, 30 days in stockroom and then bye-bye.
I don't know... I've had stuff sitting in the stock room for A LOT longer than 7 days without getting deleted. That's pretty lame, IMO. I think my vending days are over. I don't have time to make sure all my items are not disappearing. Too bad... it was a fun 1 year run. Maybe I'll move on to other things within the game; or not play anymore.

Is that surprising? I doubt that the person that coded it have ever tried playing a merchant. He or she properly just responded to a request by a lead CSR about the many tickets merchants create.
Now another possibility might be that the old but from the 7 to 30 day switch have re surfaced. Perhaps the item destruct timer is not reset if the items are resold directly from the stock room.

it is NOT working as intended. I've had several of these e-mails about things deleting because I did not pick them up in time, but I check my vendors DAILY and there has been nothing in the stockroom that I did not imediately restock. I've ticketed these items, but so far they've been small things. If I lose a rare painting or items this way, then I'll get irate!

I have to log off to desktop and back on sometims to see items in my stockroom that werent there a second ago. Hence why I think some people that look but see nothing - may have same bug as I do.

I'm 95% sure that it's uncollected items by customers. The last two I got were too items that were still on my vendor, and I only stock one of each.

I have received these mails as well. I check the storeroom and offers of all of my vendors near daily, and I generally know everything that is waiting to be restocked. I have had items expire that I know I would have restocked immediately (because of demand for them).
The most likely theory seems to be that it is an uncollected customer item, but I have no evidence to go on other than that I know very well my stockroom and offers are clear, and have been clear for days, when I receive these mails.

I'm guessing it's probably both because I have lost about half a mil in credits worth of wookie armor.

Yeah, there is defiantly some thing wrong here, I clear out my storeroom daily, yet Ive gotten 3 of these messages, just in the past couple days, prior to that I'd never seen one. They may be unclaimed items customers bought, but I doubt it, 2 of the messages I got were for custom orders with the persons name on a bag, I know its been a great deal longer than 7 days since I last sold to this person. I suppose it could be ghosts of stuff long since sold, either way its not right, and not working as inteneded, they need to fix it.

I've only received these mails since the last publish. I don't allow items to sit in my stockroom, so that's no the case. The idea that maybe now we are receiving mails for items unclaimed from buyers seems logical. *shrug, not really sure though either. This is my first time to this forum and I find it interesting the reason I came was this issue and it's at the top of the board. Is this new for anyone else?

I opened a ticket but only got the caned answer yet which is quite upsetting as I explained that my stock room was empty all the time. Do they actually take the time to read the tickets?Just replied to them, I wonderwhat their answer is now...

Well you can add two more guys from Chilastra to the list, this is a BUG, not the normal expired items.
How do I know for sure? Well, on the first day of EVERY MONTH, I pull every last item off my vendors, even if it went up the day before, and then from the stock room put it back up for sale, which SHOULD reset the 30 day clock.
My guess is that it's not doing the reset unless you pull the item all the way off the vendor, pick it up from the stock room that is, then put it back. While I can do this, it amounts to a huge pain in the keister, in a class that is already more points then it will ever be worth,.
Now, who wants to bet me that we will hear, within the next 10 days, that the Dev's thought "it had always been that way", and that this last mini-publish wasn't a stealth nerf, but just fixed it to be the way it always should have been, blah, blah, blah. . . (ie See factory XP in July 2003.)

It's7 days on vendors as well... Not 7 days. Are you sure they were on sale before you got the mail? They prolly were not if they were custom order.
What bothers me is that 1 - we should not get those mails if it is from unclaimed items... Once they have bought them it should count as their property not ours ; 2 - it's a bit hard to believe in the first place that so many people don't reclaim their items.
But I have yet to see a solid proof that the items that were in the mails were on sale and poofed.

How about when a customer browses and sees an itme they want, then they purchase it,when they try to retrieve the item, they get the message that the item is expired and mail me asking for a resolution.
