Amazing.. though some might still hate the fact that there are not unlimited items, no one can really argue that they couldnt keep their business afloat with these changes.. seriously i was happy with the first revision (post-nerf) this is just incredible.. double the vendors.. with aggregate limits.. id definately give that Mike guy a raise.. buy him a lapdance or something..


Doc.. u took a ton of heat the past couple weeks.. great job staying focused.. and a huge thanks from me and mycrew..


TH.. thanks for taking the time to actually listen to the feedback both negative and postive on this.. you were getting good feedback before the aggregate limits.. and yet u guys still pushed em through.. that im sure took some work as i would imagine aggregate limits took some serious coding analysis..

Maybe I missed it or there is no change. Do bagged items (armor, etc) count as 1 item for 10 items (composite suit + bag)? I remember you said in test previously that bagged items counted as 1.

On TestCenter currently they count at 1 item. I am asking about that now. Frankly in all fairness they need to count as the volume and not as 1. Its just not right that you can store 7500 items in backpacks at Business IV..that has to change.

It was stated a few times already by TH that no vendor will be deleted once this patch goes life.

People with not enough skill or no vendor skills at all anymore, will not be able to restock their vendor anymore. You can still retrieve everything from the vendor if you like you can't put it back up for sale though.

Once your auctions expire (after 30 days max) they land in the stockroom from where you can pick them up in 7 days (then they poof). 14 days after the vendor is empty they will be removed.

That means you have between 7 and 37days time to remove your stuff from the vendor (7 days if your auction expire just after the patch, 37 if you relist them just before), and between 14 and 44 days till the vendors get deleted.


I know it sucks for docs trying to sell Buffpacks, Stimpacksetc... If you know a merchant you trust, make a deal with him so he puts the stuff on one of his vendors for you.

I'm a happy Master Merchant. 4000 items and 12 vendors are enough to keep my Weaponsmith business thriving.


Twelve vendors is an improvement over six. Six vendors wasn't enough for my needs before. Now I canhire several vendor sales representativesfor each shop, each selling a different type of weapon.


I don't think "nerf" is the right term for a change that's an improvement.

To be a doc:


1) hunt meat for meds

2) harvest resources for meds

3) craft meds

4)sell meds


Doc is a profession that needs points for killing meat and crafting (lots of points to make meds).


The bad news is I don't have points left for a vendor. Please don't suggest that I work with a merchant. I don't play full-time, and would need to do soto make that happen.


The solution SOE intended with this nerf? Get another account.


Bad news guys- not gonna happen. Count me gone if I can't sell my wares proper.

As a Master Merchant I can only say thank-you for all of the hard work and effort in evaluating the business customers needs (that be us - the paying customers) and the supplier's capabilities to deliver (that be you the SOE developer's) and come up with a Win-Win proposition that will make (almost) everyone happy! Especially those of us you have invested the skill points to becoming Master Merchants and can now realize some advantages in doing so!

thank god. I was seriously going to stop playing if I couldnt run my business the same way. 4000 is a number i can easily live with. I honestly expected them to bump it a few hundred itemsand expect us to be grateful.


I think SOE learned a few lessons with this whole mess.


1. Dont mess with merchants, alot of us have multiple accounts, and we will revolt.

2. Be a little more careful putting things on TC without thinking it through.

4000 items spread over all vendors at Master Merchant will suit me fine. Glad to see that a positive step is being made.
