I put up a post about this on the SWG discussion..but it's already being stamped out by 'blame-the-victim' types who think that they're gonna get a FS slot by bashing down negative information.

Nobody wants this game to work more than I do. But basic game-mechanics issues must be brought out in the open and addressed. I don't like being the one to do it, but if not me, who?

I am so sorry to hear what happened to you marqie While I rarely post on this forum, I have read many of your posts and thought you were one of the most hard working correspondents. I hope everything with your shop is resolved so we can get you back as our rep

The words from you guys are very kind, i am touched by your responces.

I am working with the CSR team to see what can be done.

I will stay on as the Merchant Correspondant for a while. I think we are a great class, we have seen a lot of improvments, but we are not there yet. Please stay positive, stick with me. While many of us are not going to be here in the next few months, we can work to leave a class that is worth playing in our wake.

I am staying only because I want to see this class work. I want to be a thorn in the side of the man

Really Sad to see even a Correspondant can't get service from CSR,

I lost hundreds of thousands of high grade resources, hides, flora items, and over 40 Heavy harvesters of all typeon my humanoid vendor last month.

I submitted CSR tickets and waited 2 weeks before CSR responded,

First one asked me to make a list of lost items, I spend over 1 day preparing the list, then after another week, another CSR responded by offering me 100k credits.

I said I wanted my lost items back, next day the ticket was deleted.

I put in another CSR ticket briefly summarize what happened.

This time another CSR show up in game, telling me He can't find any record of me putting items on the humanoid vendors of the lost items in the database.

Then he gave me 100k credit, and asked me "Is there anything else I can help you with?"

Needless to say I was so Mad behind my computer screen, I didn't even want to continue talking to the CSR.

The CSR then says "If you don't have any other questions, please delete your ticket"

I just logged out of the game at that point.

I paid for a one year subscribtion. But now I when I log in sometimes I just stand there not really wanting to do anything.

What is the point of getting stuff that will somehow be wiped out sooner or later?

I wish you well, Marqie

Makes me scared to have any kind of items considering how bad the CSRs are here. I wish you the best!

I can not believe that a someone from SOE has not commented on this yet.

It shows truly how much they neglect not just the professions and the game but the people that play and these forums as well. Took a 1000 post thread on the smuggler forum to get a response and then it was just to say stop bumping. I swear they feel that if they ignore things they will go away.

I am just starting down the road to master merchant and I am sad to hear that this happened to you. On bloodfin I logged in and was at -0, 0 thank goodness I did not loose anything

If this decision makes your life better than I wish you God Speed.

We as merchants, and crafters in general, log in everyday in fear that everything we have built up will just be gone, nothing left, and a csr to tell us we are screwed. Holo said the other day if a CSR tells you that it appears your maint. ran out and you house was destroyed then understand that is what the data is telling them. The sad truth is that their data isnt telling them that. I had a house, vendor, and over 500 items poof and the CSR told me that I physicially destroyed redeeded the house and it was in my inventory. Nevermind the fact that I wasnt even on the same planet when someone told me they saw my house go poof. Im sure they could have checked where my physical being was in the game at the time but they did not. And why not? Because they dont get paid to make you happy. They get paid to process tickets as fast as humanly possible and 90% of the CSR's dont give a chit about you or anything you do.

Im sad to see you go. You were a great correspondant. But I am almost to the point where Im like screw it, give everyone merchant skills and let me use my points for something worthwhile already.

Guess this means I won't be the next correspondant.

I am really glad you are deciding to stay! I would hope that your approach isn't going to change too much due to your new thorn-in-the-sideattitude, I have liked you the way you were.

Not that there aren't deserving points to be poked. On the disappearing house issue, Holocron recently wrote in:

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Developers&message.id=1085#M1085

That.“We just cannot currently tell the difference between a house that didn't get paid up and one that vanished even though it was paid up, because they both seem to be showing int he logs as expired maintenance.” Hence the standard CSR approach. And the fixhe was talking about was talking about was locking the door instead of destroying the house.

Your bad luck may bea reliefto others who have the same problem. There is nothing worse when you suffer a disaster than to have people telling you, inaccurately, how you caused your own problem.

It will be interesting to hear what your results are. Instead of trying to pay cash at wholesale rates for your loss, they should be paying full retail plus business disruption loss. Hey, if a RL shop got crushed by a runaway truck with an incompetent driver, that would be the starting point.
