It's not going to hurt business, just aggravate the businessmen. Empty vendors are bad, and people in high traffic areas like power ups and stims are gonna have problems. I agree. I am NOT a fan of it, but it's not gonna be the end of the world. Just a big pain in the butt.

Restocking my vendors everyday, and perhaps two times a day for some of my items is going to suck. I already have a job which I get paid to go work each day, I don't want to come home to computer to do my virtual job everyday. It's a good thing I can't afford any decent combat skills being politician/merchant, cos I'll have no time to go out hunt or PvP anyway.

The thing is, not every profession is the same. Serious tailor/merchants are already at the "big pain in the butt" stage the way the game is *now*. The effect of this is to shift everybody two columns to the left. Now weaponsmiths get their first "big pain in the butt", and tailors go from "big pain in the butt" to "going out of business sale."

I could see 300, but 150 is too few.

If you sell powerups, armor, clothing, or any other type of item that requireds a good selection and turns quick, you will find 150 to be a HUGE time synch. You will end up spending a great deal more time than you are now stocking the vendor.

If you can't get on everyday, as many of us can't, then your vendor may end up out-of-stock on high demand items. This will drive your regular customers away.

As to the bazaar -- I supposed increasing the cap to 6K is ok, but then at least give mayors the ability to place bazaar terminals.

i know you guys hate tailors - but 150 limits mean that i wont be able to put 2/5ths of the items i can make up for sale , as i can make around 250 different schematics.

(and i wont mention the 200+ colours i can make those 250 items in)

do what you like with the bazaaar - ivirtually neveruse it nowadays- as i have trouble keeping the vendor stocked as it is.

We don't hate tailors. In fact a lot of people don't like this cap BECAUSE of what it'll do to tailors.

I would need 8 vendors to list just 1 single article of each type of clothing in black, 1 in white, 1 in blue, 1 in red, and 1 in green.

This is going to kill tailors, if it happens I won't be stocking a tailor shop any longer. I take/took great pride in the fact that my tailor shop is finally growing into a nice large selection. This is bullshlt.

I will be ignored in that thread, I will be ignored in the bria forum, I will be ignored in the tailor forum, I will be ignored here, I'll be ignored via email. and yes I was ignored in chat.

Well, on the bright side, armorsmiths and weaponsmiths (two classes that get what they want) are mildly irked, so we'll probably get thrown a bone like raising the limit from 150 to 200.

Whee.

Don't loose hope! Keep making noise - they don't listen to one person, but that thread had hundreds and hundreds of people on it. However, we have to make the noise now before it gets into the dev pipeline

This is one of those things they probably thought, hey, no one will really care... we can kind of sneak it in. But its not, and this will affect a *ton* of people - lets let them know it.

just a wee merchant myself, no points left for more. but this seems to be the point to drive home:

the Bazaar is > Merchant Vendors.

  • Merchants have to pay skill points and upkeep to get Planet wide advertisment.
  • The Bazaar is 20c and Galaxy Wide advertisment, with no skill points used.

IF the bazaar limit was rasied i would prefer to see it as a Artisan Business or Merchant profession perk, not an across the board raise.

Giving every player something better than a proffesion skill is a no no.

This is not desigend to help anyone. This change is to limit the number of items in the vendor database. That is it. All of it.

Plug the exploit where you can drop you merchant skills yet keep you vendor. I know of several vendors who are fully stocked even though their owner is no longer a merchant.

If all this is about is to free up database space then remove the guys that are wrongfully adding items to the database… then if there is still a problem lets think of a cap.

amen, i suffer greatly from skill point shortage, I know i could drop the skill and keep the vendor. but i don't under fear that one day they will fix it and my 400-500 guns or 100+ crates of spice on my other vendor would go poof
