"I tried paying the mnt before initializing and that still did not work. My buddy who was having the same problem just got merchie today, and it does indeed only affect terminal vendors. That is why this probobly is not as big of a deal as it should be, at least in the developer's eye's. This to me is a major flaw, and is quite frustrating. I grinded out to get Tailor in one day, crafting all day long, only to set up my shop and not be able to use it because of a bug like this was just a bit on the anoying side.
Anyway, good luck all

This is still doing this, I've tried all the possibile solutions listed herein, I've repatched and full scanned. Heck I tried inside / outside the city limits, tried a new house entirely and redeclared - nothing.
As for CSR and Bug Reports.....how do you bug report the bug report when neither of them are working?
As for the chat room CSRs....less than helpful, all they would say to do was to go ingame and fill out a CSR ticket, clearly not listening to the fact such a feat was impossible for me (on any of my toons, let alone the rest of my city's members) to do
Hello everyone out there.
Yes i'm having the same problem too...
After saving, grinding and working my ass off to get a shop up and running i can't initalize the vendor even tho I have.. I've even bought 2 house so one could be a shop and the other my residence, wondering if this was the problem, but no.
Hmm.. really hope they sort this soon because i'm losing so much money because the vendor is chewing it up, the houses r chewing it up and my mines.. I have so many resources and Ican sell anymore on the bazzar as i've reached my max.
Good Luck

I think I found a workaround for this last night. Did anyone of you with this problem move or rotate the vendor after you drop it and before you initialize?
I found, at least for me, that if you just drop it and initialize it without rotating (I didn't exp't with moving), it works.
Give it a try. It's facing the wrong way but at least I have working vendor.
Wow, and I thought I had it rough. So does this meaqn you allneither get vendor xp nor vendor access xp? Is there another way to make merchant XP? if not you can never get to Merchant to even get your npc.
-H
I did rotate mine, I get a message that I don't have permission to move the vendor, only pick it up - which again I don't have an option for (and the /pickup command gives me the same message).
I'll try it without rotating and see what happens, I'll do anything at this point
So far the trick seems to be to drop the vendor..do NOTHING else to it except initialize it then move forward. It is a crappy work around but it is better than no vendor until we can get them to fix the code.
btw the CSR's may be unable to help you but contacting them does a very important thing. It makes a log of the issue in the CS database which gets turned over to the devs. This is important becasue CS is very motivated to lower the number of calls they have to handle..an issue that is generating multiple tickets will get action one way or the other.
So this same thing is happening to me and a guild mate. We are trying to earn enough xp for novice merchant and both the terminal and droid vendors give the "not initialized" error.
I did leave one for a coupl of hors and accumulated 300 merchant xp so I'm not sure if we are still recieving the xp for having a merchant placed or what. I submitted a CSR ticket and check later to see if I've earned more xp.
Is this hitting everyone with droid and terminal vendors or jus tthose placed in the past couple days?
