Nope not a bug, the Stockroom anly holds your items for 7 days

so if you had an item go to the stockroom the day after you went on vacation it will be gone.

The trick is to take everything off the Vendor, and place it back on the day before you go on Vacation, thus as long as you long in before3 weeks (IIRC) everything should be there.
