Aside from delusional thinking that this patch improved anything beyond removing empty vendors from the map... What should be asked instead of "how this has improved your business" is rather "How this has improved the profession".

I have heard about so many improvements and additions that the devs are going to implement for the profession now and how they are going to make it so that 3/4th of the trees aren't worthless. Oh wait.. nevermind.

As opposed to your previous delusional thinking of stating that poachers don't hurt me? Apology accepted.

You cant prove that the majority of your competitors were poachers. Perhaps some were, but I would bet most were casual merchants who got screwed by the merchant nerf. Either way, even if 2 out of 10 merchants were poachers, you cannot say that YOU specifically were being hurt by them. The merchant profession in general, maybe, but you specifically? No. So get over yourself.

Based on the sampling I'm seeing on the forum, I concur. Nobody has postedsaying "omfg my vendors broke because I don't got the skillz!" Every complaint I've seen has been from a legitimate merchant whose business has been damaged by the change.

I said it before and I'll say it again:it was a masterful way toshaft merchants while addressing their #1 correspondent issue. My hat's off to Sony for their sheer deviousness.

And it only gets better...I lost a vendor today. I thought it would be a good idea for the DE section of my buisness to let some of the other merchants take over my proxy vendors so i could split up DE stock on very focused vendors. The idea was that everyone would see a ton of "Ewathi" Droid vendors on the map to assure that I carried what they were looking for - well my scout droid vendor poofed today with no e-mail. With DE products in a good market you can't count on selling one very specialized model every 2 weeks.

You are arguing this point for no reason and are being rather foolish about it. I know my competition and knew who was poaching. I understand you won't accept anything as proof. I know just about half were poachers and half of the vendors are gone. I think it's also no coincidence that the vendors that disapeared were also the one's who confirmed to me that they were poaching previously. To make it simple for you.. 1 + 1 = 2. A betting fool I see.Either way, even if 2 out of 10 *cough* we already covered this.. about half. merchants were poachers, you cannot say that YOU specifically were being hurt by them. Yes, I can, and I did and I was. Sorry, I'm calling the dumbass card on you. 50% of the vendors were poachers. They were selling product easily and efficiently. (combat types theywere and just wnated easycreds)People typically buy product from vendors when it comes to rads. They normally do not seek it out on trade forums. Hence, the vast majority of business sales is done via vendors. Now that those vendors are gone, sales are up for the remaining ones, yet you insipidly insist that those poached vendors weren'thurting us. I'd be saying it's improved my business because I can actually compete employee real players versus the traders and the wookiee would be saying it never hurt me and I can't prove it. That's what would happen.

Fix it by giving 10 lots on 1 server and a max of 2 on every other. Not a perfect fix, but sure would be a great reduction.

They should work towards a account based maximum for lots.

And for a character based maximum for items, but that's a different story.

My main shop is in a huge crafter community just outside Coronet. The number of merchants in the area didn't drop. There were several folks I talked to that picked up merchant skills and adjusted their skill points, which is good, as they were abusing the system before. I've noticed that some resource vendors are much lower on inventory than they used to be - some folks that used to have 50 million+units now are unable to carry quite so much. I've also noticed that I get more offers from folks via direct tell for buying/selling loot for them on my loot vendor because many combat types now have to go through merchant channels to sell items which is good. The # of chefs on our server has not changed at all, there are the same old folks I competed with before - I did however boost sales a little with the increased # of allowable vendors by adding a new location.

The folks that are probably benefitting from these changes the most are folks that don't have the ability to differentiate their products except by location and past experience such as resource vendors as any vendor that left due to the new restrictions was a direct competitor removed from the market. Honestly, the type of vendor that benefitted from the decreased competition is a small portion of the merchant profession - most have actual products that can be differentiated by quality that they make and some others that they may resell for others. The poached vendors that disappeared were mostly resource and loot vendors which are commodities that are easily sold via other channels and are completely price sensitive items as the product is exactly the same (resources I mean). I personally have a resource vendor with about 10 million units of high quality resources, but it's a small portion of my business and haven't really noticed if it's improved my bottom line much with the slight reduction in poached resource vendors. My main business is food and I differentiate that by quality/price (value), which is something that SOE botched when creating harvested resources that would be differentiated in quality (purity) by the quality of the location you are harvesting at and the quality of your harvestor.

Maybe if I was doing something as basic as selling radioactive power then my businees would have improved because of the vendor changes.

Haven't noticed any changes on my end though. Then again, I was already selling armor twice as fast as 10 factories could make it.

perhaps you should just shut your mouth as you're nothing but an egotistical piece of trash that does nothing but hurt the image of the merchant profession.

To be honest, elimination increased very weakly on my sales. BUT 80% of players still does not have any idea about finding vendors from CTRL+V

Droids work much better than anything

- 2 sales in 2 days...

After merchant barker droid:

- 18 sales in 1 day
