Well, I have the vendor up and running and asked a friend to verify the bugs you listed.

He was unable to retrieve the item. We both recieved emails on the purchase. I recieved the money. But when he went to retrieve, nothing showed up.

He then offered me something to sell. This worked. He offered. I bought. He got the money. I was able to retrieve from the storeroom.

I bugged it and am trying to get others to speak up about it as well. This is a pretty major gameplay bug as it will put a damper on the whole economy as 3K+ items start to become available.

I have tested the following with the robo vendor only:

1) item up for sale now transfers credits immediately and the item is retrievable from the stockroom by the purchaser

2) Player can place item into the vendor for merchant to buy. Merchant can buy using instant sale at price specified. transaction goes through and I can retrieve the item that I bought and immediately put it up for sale as well.

Not tested:

Items showing up on bazaar.

Premium auctions.

Questions:

1) Can i negotiate the price of a good someone wants to sell to me. I tried typing in a different number when I was purchasing but it didn't work. It might have been since the player put it as an instant sale and not auction. If so, then that seems right. Are they allowed to place it as an auction?? If not, I think that instant sales should be negotiable.

2) How is XP generated?? I seem to accrue the XP over the day and it only shows on the following day, not instantly. Is this normal?? Also, is xp for selling items working?? How is that done?? By number of items, value of items, number of credits, number of transactions or combinations of the 4 (or other variables)?

Thank you,

The items that are being sold to your vendor by other players doesn't seem to be negotiable. The window that pops up when you select 'Buy Item' looks like a text input window, but it isn't one. This would be a neat feature, though.

For experience, seems to be that as long as your vendor has at least one item for sale, then you receive approximately 5 XP an hour. I haven't had the XP updating issue that you seem to have.

I dunno why it doesn't update. I know I logged out last night and came back today and it doubled. (up to 150 now after almost 3 days)

But, when i'm in game i don't see it moving up and I'll be AFK sampling sometimes for 6 hours.

Not a big deal, just curious.

Are you just getting xp from the vendor being placed or from sales, listing...anything else?

Also, I'm assuming that vendor +1 means one vendor only. Not one vendor per house. is that correct?

Bleh I just put in a new type of vendor but didn't pull my items out of the old one's stockroom...

So now a bunch of stuff, including a deed for a small house, is stuck in vendor limbo...I try to retrieve them but I just get a endless "Retrieving item..." message

=(

Ok need some help on this one I put an item in my vendor and it sold. At first I said to myself where did the credits go....come to find out they went directly to maintenance. Is there a way to remove the credits from the vendor's maintenanceor am I just screwed out of the money? Thanks.

Whoa, thanks for that Lysak. You wouldn't happen to know if that works for rotating structures from the build screen, would you? Like rotating a house 45 degrees instead of 90?

I, for one, would like to applaud Joshie for raising the volume on this issue and getting attention on it.

Thank you.

Let's hope it gets resolved soon now.

A couple points in regards to other folks posts.

1) You can move the vendors, including the bulky terminals, even after you have initialized. For some reason they removed the radial options but you can use the commands on it. Cant remember the commands but they are something like: /moveforward, /moveback, /rotateleft #, /rotateright #, where # is the number of degrees to rotate.

2) Money being stuck in the system is a problem that many are experiencing with vendors and bazaar terminals, and I have heard some folks say /tips are holding money as well. I figure I am now down about 20k to the system. Sometimes the money has surfaced a day latter, but its hit and miss and I know I certainly havent been payed all of it.

If the items not showing up on the bazaar is "as intended" then having merchants is nowhere near as worthwhile because you're still going to be running through town doing /shout "Come to X,X to buy X at X price!" hell you might aswell just be doing /shout "Selling X for X!" and save people the trouble running to your vendor. Ridiculous.

Right now I don't even care about the xp, but having to town hop constantly just to sell my items is getting be a pain.

"This CSR also really shows a problem with this game, that they would require you to go outside the game and read the Forum to find out how to play? that is just stupid. It should be obvious within the game exactly how to advance."

This is the single dumbest thing I've read today, if not all week. You think there's supposed to be absolutely no challenge at all or something?
