Thread: Vendors are EATING items put up after the last big update! PLEASE READ!!!!
Of the people who lost inventory, how many were using pre-patch vendors? Just wondering if that might be the key.

DocSavag, any news on this from the devs? I assume you've raised all the red flags, etc. This isn't something that can wait another day to fix, it has to be in tomorrow's hotfix and you need to be telling them exactly why. Every single day is 1000s more items lost as people learn about this issue.
Yes, all my 14+ day old items are also missing, 100s of items. ![]()
I may have one pre and one post or two post...not sure...but both are mission items..
Just like to comment that I had a chance to interact witha CSR regarding this issue.
They could not replace the lost items. CSR-PatrickM offered instead to give me credits so I could re-purchase stock for my vendor.
If you are having trouble with a CSR then I suggest you be as informative and polite as possible. Also, telling them they are wonderful and their help is making you very happy is also a good way to warm up to a CSR. It would be completely un-fair if I got credits for the erased items and others did not. If need be, mention CSR PatrickM and the fact that he has reimbursed other players on this issue.
He did check the logs to make sure I wasn't lying about the quantity and type of items I was selling. I'm also sure that if you had a "rare" object that had an arbitrary value like a holocron, you may not get as many credits for that as you want. The CSR askedme to evaluate the total value to replace the goods, quite like an insurance agent actually.

what? umm...yeah i have a lot on my mind and don't make sense sometimes...
i meant that i know one for sure is post patch...the other vendor is either pre or post patch...not sure but both are missing item...not mission items...that would be cool if you could rescue people on missions and then make them vendors...

Typically CSRs can reimburse you in 1 of 2 ways..credits..or resources. So if you have items that it would have difficult to replace credit wise you might opt to try to get them to reimburse you in the resources it would take to remake the items. If they are rare items you are going to have to negioate with the CSR to get what you can. They are helpful for the most part but they are limited in the scope of what they can do.

lol yeah right... CSR helpful? I have lost items many times and not once i have received a reimbursement talking to several different CSRs. As of today im closing my shop. Great job DEVS.
I'm sorry this has been the case for you. I have had no less than 4-5 reimbursments for items destroyed by vendors or factories over the past few months and the CSR's ended up helping me. Some times it took several days of haggling with them. Sometimes it took calmly disagreeing with their decision to not reimburse me. In the end calm rational explanations of the facts and a list of the items affected along with an approximate cost of replacing them always worked for me. I'm not saying they will absolutely reimburse you and I'm not saying it is easy.
I seriously doubt they are going to reimburse every merchant for what he or she lost. In fact, chunks disappeared so fast that most of us can't detail item by item what got lost. What can they do, give me crates of +17 bio tissues so I can remake clothes? Probably not. ![]()
I would like to see the devs acknowledge the gravity of the situation, and have the courtesy to apologize to the player base for this oversight. If they are ignoring this or putting it on the backburner, they can kiss a lot of merchants goodbye.
I'm really shocked that there has been no official reply from them. I've been a tailor since August, and I LOVE my profession, enough to turn down offers of holocrons from my guildmates. But you know what? If merchants can't be treated with common courtesy by the devs, then it might be time to hang up the CLOSED sign.
Well, I found out I was still a couple of hours away from the 14 day mark. So, as the annoited hour approached, I watched my vendor (after delisting everything but a few droid batteries). Sure enough, on the very second that 14 days had transpired, the batteries disappeared and they did not go to the stockroom.
Fortunately I had taken my most important items into my personal inventory, but I had left a few minor items in the stockroom after I had earlier delisted them. It turns out they disappeared too, shortly after the droid batteries. So the bug also affects anything you delist and leave in your stockroom.
I put everything back up on my vendor; I'll just have to remember to relist them all every 13 days. Hope this gets fixed soon.

Thank you. That report will undboutedly help a lot. Seems to be clear proof that it is date specific.

a whole crap load of my items just poofed off my vendor. i cant be 100% sure but i am fairly confident it was right around the 14 day mark. and these items were placed on the vendor after the big player cities patch.
