I guess a double wow is in order.... Makes me sad that not one single CH can help a vet CH out with a question on the new system.... Guess I'll learn everything myself...
We are not ignoring you dear. We just don't know either. We are all old school MCH and untill recently had CH XP capped and had no input. I will say that the N-CH I am starting on radiant is taking a while but when I focus on taming and training the pets to learn the abilities that the CH-XP comes along without my thinking about it. If you want to grind CH-XP try to get into a hunting group on Dantooine or something and send your pet in last so the others have firmly establised aggro.

Slices don't wear out, weapons do and no you can't repair it.
Let me rephrase that....you can repair the weapon like anyone else with a weapon repair kit.
More than likely what they were asking was weapons were supposed to have a chance of "breaking/going out of tune" if they were sliced. They removed that before the new slicing system went in.

It is faster to use a single pet to grind with, especially in the higher levels as multiple pets take longer to call. Join a grinding group on Dantooine Mining Outpost. If there is at least 1 level 80 person and 3 others over level 54 then the group will easily kill anything they face in the missions (a level 54+ does just as much damage as a level 80, the only difference is the level multiplier which is adjusted by grouping). It is polite to ask if they mind you using pets first. Use your pet to attack whatever it is they are killing. The pet will not gain aggro as it does less damage than the players and you get the full amount of CH experience as well as the pet getting training xp.
Don't use your pet on the lair. It gets confusing when they spawn and becomes really hard to see what's going on. Just shoot the lair once so you get XP for its destruction. If mass aggro occurs it gets really difficult to know which target the others are all going to kill first. Pets can't do AoE hits so it's best to tab through targets and make sure your pet is hitting the one that has the least health left. It helps if the targets have yellow names as they change to red if you have scored a hit on them.

I found it easiest to get in a group and do the group grind thing. Now that I'm master, I'm taking all of my time taming for the aquisition of new skills. I have a stable full now, so it's time to go back to grinding to learn these skills. But don't get me wrong, I am have a great time with this new system.

Grinding should be slightly faster as you find more new pet specials. Before you had a limited number of things you could train a pet. Now you can find a new baby, use it for a short while to fight then train it to use any new specials you have for additional CH XP. I typically tame a pet and use it to fight and train it in any specials I've learned for extra CH XP until I find a new baby to tame. I'm only CL21 and an 0001 CH so most of the babies I can tame don't take very long at all to earn the XP required to train them in the new specials.

No caps that Im aware of. Im sure there exists a theoritical cap based on perfect resources, but the Janta Blood would break that cap depending on how good it is.
