I just hope beyond all hope that you make anybody flying in a faction aligned fighter tef'd to the opposite faction. If this doesn't happen, it will be a severe blow to the Star Wars continuity. Make it so people can have atleast two fighters in their datapads. One for their faction, and one for neutral flying.
If I'm in my TIE, I better be able to attack the X-Wing I see in the distance. Or if a person is in their X-Wing, they better be able to fight the TIE they have just spotted.
I agree. I would hope that factional ships would work like factional pets, you can only fly them if you are overt. This would also mean that we would need to be able to hold at least 2 ships in our dp.
Also, how are faction points or factional rank going to come into play?

Haden:
I had heard a while back that DE's droids would be required to operate the space craft. Is this still part of the equation?
Thanks for the great information.

you get a TEF while flying rebel ships (all ships when you are a rebel pilot i guess?) so no need to be overt when you get TEF
Another good point someone said is that TIE Fighters should not have hyperdrives or shield gens.
Everything looks great, just a few details to keep with the Star Wars Universe

Thanks Haden.
I too thought E3 went very well for us. Highlight for me was talking to some of the forum people in person. I'm sure I'll get to do a lot more of that at Fan Fest in a couple weeks. (Of course the bigger highlight was passing the harder questions off onto Thunderheart
).
Everyone who saw JTL really seemed to like it. I don't know how many times I heard "I can't wait to get it" or "I'm going to resubscribe after seeing this in person." The truest testement to the designers though is that the demoers were having fun playing it all throughout E3. There were times when I asked TH if he wanted a break and he said, "I'm having too much fun blowing away Tie Fighters now."
One question I didn't see listed here but heard at E3is about accounts. Just to clear it up, you don't have to get Jump to Lightspeed to continue playing SWG (though you won't be able to access things such as flying space ships and playingthe new professions if you don't). Each account requires a unique CD key to be enabled for JTL. If you enable JTL for one account but not for another, you'll be able to play both accounts (just one won't be able to go into space). Our future publishes will likely have stuff for the ground game and the space game.
but accounts that are not enabled for JtLS can still go inside a friends (who's account in question is JtLS enabled) ship right?
Question about the YT-1300
How does it work if everyone in your group has JTL but one player? Does that player remain on the surface? Also if a player /disbands what happens?
will there be secondary weapons on ships that can be added? like photon torpedos..or concusion missles rather than just lasers?
if so im guessing they will be quiet limited in supplie on each ship so players cant jsut spam the sec. weapons attck....
overal though game sounds great cant wait.....thanks for the cool info--

"Will those of us who are running multiple accounts (personally i have 3 current and active accounts) have to buy a JTL Expansion for each account? meaning, If I have 3 accounts will I need to buy 3 copies of JTL in order to have all my accounts access the space content?"
I believe so, yes. However, there will be NO additional monthly fee for playing JTL. Basically, for your current monthly fee, you getboth theground and space experiences.
Or to paraphrase Shug, the answer is "Yes, we want any extra $30-$50 you will give us."
They know that many people have 2 accounts as there's so much you can't accomplish without 2 (or more). And since it's SOE, of course they're going to make you buy multiple copies in order to run 1 game. They will always take the course of action that provides the most $$$
