IMO limits are a good thing, but have to agree with Pharrel limiting us to only 3 ships is a bit mean. i think 4 or 5 would be better. I run three characters on my account. two of them i us the Yacht as my house and have two figthers with them (1 bomber, 1 attack/dogfighter). the other i dont us my yacht at all, but trying to run a TIE/In, TIE Interceptor and Bomber. i use each for a various reasons, like i'll use the TIE/in when helping guildmates and friends on lower teir missions. the Interceptor for normal missions and the bomber when i need that little more firepower/armour. i would like to keep all three and then get my TIE Advanced, and master level ship. it would be nice to have a few extra ship slots espically as we pay soooo much for the chassis dealer to convert them from blueprint to a deed, but dont see it happening.

We need...
- at least 4 ships per player
- The "gift" yacht should not count towards max ship allowed
- When redeeded a ship should be able to have all its components still installed. Useful for players and shipwrights alike.
Towards the end of JTL beta the devs said they werent against increasing the number of ships allowable to players and that they wanted to see if the demand was great enough after launch, so im not sure why they dont go ahead and just do it.

As a veteran of SWG I qualified for the Luxury Yacht. Cool! I can now avoid long lines at the Starports. However I am now limited to two spacecraft in my inventory. Not Cool! I'd like to keep my X-Wing and add a B-Wing and a XLR-Courier Transport or a Firespray to my Data Pad in the fututre. Teaming up with different players on their mission will require different spacecraft to fulfil the roles; fast attack X-wing; close support Y-wing with lots of armor; etc. I hope the Dev's take this into account and expand the number of spacecraft control Devices in a players's Data Pad to 4 or more. Please discuss.
Thanks for JTL it saved SWG!

ok i know i have stated this before on the same topic but could this be a option to make things easier
Keep the number of ship available in the data pad the same BUT when you redeed the ship be able to keep the componets and the the styleing and if it is a mp ship keep everything in it and keep it styled. So when you need a ship generate it with everything you need in it already.
I have a feeling the reason they keep the numbers like they have up to this point the are afraid of people storeing things LIKE componets and so on on the ships and useing them as a storage cantainer. I know thats what i do and am doing to save space in the bank on the compoment side. But people have already found other ways to store stuff like me buy getting vendors and put all the stuff in the vendor and make proces so high no one would pay that much for the item.
Or use bots to store stuff and i could go on how people circumvent the abilty to store stuff. (A little of topic sry)
but back be able to redeed with everything on the ship already.
Another option too i have found a pain is you have 3 ships but you can only access one ship where you land at and your other ships at another location. I would like to be able to access all my ships IN my data pad at any terminal. Since i am carrying them around anyways.

I started the thread to increase the 3 ship limit. I hoped that I would get a response from a dev or at least a correspondent by now. Nope, nothing. It was once one of the more popular threads in this forum. I hope at some point the devs do read this thread. They are well written and mature. I sincerely want to believe that this issue will be addressed at some point. I sometimes feel I am the last person playing SWG, primarily because of JTL. The rest of my guild is playing WoW. I feel sad sometimes, like the kid with the soccer ball on a baseball field. I just want to play my game and enjoy it.
I hope someone reads this.

*wonders when someone will mention the fact that we were originally only going to have 2 ships in JTL beta but the devs decided to give us 3 to please us*
people listen to yourselves.. when we have 3, we're gonna want 4.. when we have 4, we're gonna want 5.. it's an endless cycle..
remember beta? you could only have 1 fighting ship and 1 yacht? or 1 MP ship and 1 yacht? or 2 fighter ship and no yacht? can't you guys just say thank you and play?
to the guys who mentioned apples and same-amount-of-space.. this is NOT true.. a character is alloted a TOTAL amount of space.. 75 in a small naboo.. 125 in other small houses.. 150 in mediums.. 250 in large and guildhalls.. 100 in factories.. 100 in datapad.. 3 ships.. 5 droids.. 9 pets.. and so on.. what you do with those spaces is entirely up to you.. but thats ALL you get.. so it's not a case of putting 3 apples out of 6 into your pocket and having 12 or 3 or whatever.. your allotment is STILL the same.
so shut up.. sit down.. say thank you.. and play the fricken game already.. fix whats more important, like the damn syching/drunken bee crap thats caused me to run out of time in missions many times =P
