"I hope it isn't in there as a PC vechile because it was rare, but as a NPC one it would be ok."

there will be 15 space vehicles piloted by players. I imagine there will be a LOT of NPC vehicles for just viewing or having interaction with. just not owning or flying.

i just hope they add some force feedback support, my poor FF Sidewinder has been lonely since the Freespace franchise got canned.

First, I must say to all you RP'ers out there who bought the game for RP'ing, X-wing vs. TIE combat is ALOT more fun than the combat queue, and not as hard as you might think. Now, I'm not so happy with calling our ships from our datapads, but I can see why they did it. Next, they can't put two people in a landspeeder currently, how are they gonna fit 10+ people on a freighter? What I'm hoping for is part of JtL's systems will handle this, otherwise there could be some problems... But I LOVE everything else I'm hearing about this!! Can't wait for tomorrow, it will probably be the same info, but it's OFFICIAL, baby! One more rant for the road, too; if they had made space combat RP-style, it would have been the final nail in the coffin. No question. I and probably most of the player base would leave the game, and I thank the Devs in their eternal wisdom for seeing this too. Whether or not JtL will save the game, that's yet to be seen, for various reasons I won't go into now... Oh, and one last thing:

I'm pretty sure I didn't purchase World of Star Warscraft, but I may be mistaken...

It's going to be difficult for them to do the whole imp vs rebel thing with this and do it fair. The ships are quite different from each other but imps had bigger fleets. On most servers the opposite is true.

Zhagadska -- "Firespray actually.

and it's a little more common than many think (i cant stop the geek inside me! help!), it's original purpose was as a sytem patrol craft for private corporations and such. The Fett's ship is modified naturally, probably very heavily."

-----

okay, youve got me, its been a very long time since ive read many of the books, so i had forgotten. how rare they are probably depends on which book you read, or who you ask though. the official site has this in the databank for it:

"What began life as a Kuat Systems Engineering limited edition Firespray-class ship is now a dedicated pursuit craft worthy of the galaxy's best bounty hunter."

i had recalled that it was from the Kuat Drive Yards (KDY), and it is said to be limited edition, so we had better not see many.

lol..don't mean to "Get" anyone actually...just excited about hearing of the SE.

it was more common then most think, but yer right, it shouldn't be really common and i doubt it will be a player controlled craft at the onset.

I'm very concerned about the lack of information about transports and ship interiors. I really hope we can get up and walk around inside the larger transports.

Recently the Devs said they hope to incorporate a new ability into Smugglers, to be able to sell flights from Any Planet to Any Planet with no stops between... this worries me. I have a feeling this means no passengers in ships that should be able to carry them.

Yeah, the Millenium Falcon is Han's ship, but what would that ship be without Chewie? Very Lonely, and a lot less cool.

This, along with if we can walk around our ships or not, are going to be the make or break points for many of us.

Though those combat screens are nice,Haden says that players will have to return to ground to heal BFI'm assuming we're not even going to get space stations.

If itturns out to bejust fly or fight looking out the cockpit, the ship becoming your avatar, like EVE Online, I might be entering the Matrix...

I'm looking forward to the SE but am not impressed in the least with this interview.

The information was extremely vague and, for the most part, pre-assumed.

The screenshots were not at all interesting either. They are perfected shots, that or cinematic. Neither of which I like. I prefer raw screenshots of how it will look while im ingame playing.

I'm also hoping that the title is just temporary as "Jump to Lightspeed" sounds lame. And in lack of a better word, cheesy. Space Expansion sounds better then "Jump to Lightspeed." You sure slack off when it comes to fixing bugs/exploits that been ingame since launch, I'm sure you can spend that coming up with a better title.

Nice screenshots, but disappointed to learn the game will be very twitchy. We don't use Unreal to resolve ground fights. The accuracy of a pilot/gunner should be determined by the character's skills. If we wanted to play X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter, we'd play X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter. In an MMORPG, it should be the character's skills that are the most important. That's not say smart tactics by the player shouldn't have any bearing, but this shouldn't be an arcade game.

Twitch is *very* good. I do NOT want my piloting skills controled by a computer. My Char on the ground I can understand, but I want to *feel* space. I want to flyabove planets and into asteroid belts, I want to get into Dog Fights and try to out Maneuver my enemy rather than just hoping for a lucky computer roll based my *dodge* skill in Pilot

Im glad it will rest on my shoulders, and not a computers.

Yes yes, I've read they can't answer questions. So I'm just going to float some questions I would love to see answered soon as the publicity department starts dropping more hints and information:

  • New species and planets? How many? If you can't commit to how many, how about an "at least" as in at least 3 new species and 5 new planets, etc.

  • Will we be able to walk around inside of large capitol vehicles and maybe even man gun turrets etc?

  • Will we be able to board larger ships?

  • Will there be "mini-planets" or city sized destinations in space for our ground characters to walk around in? Bases, derelict space vehicles, asteroid mining facilities, etc.

  • Will there be a collectors edition? What is the in game perk of the collectors edition? (I missed getting my glasses. Afternine months of seeing others withglasses, as dumb as it may sound, I'm eager to know this one.

  • What other new fluff can we expect? New outfits? A new land based bike or speeder? Tease us with a detail or two.
