Ive been meaning to ask this question for some time now. What is the reason that Rebels cant do the mission for the Jedi Starfighter? I have a character that among regular skills is an Ace pilot. Why is one of the cooler looking ships denied to dedicated Rebels? If the pilot coro can answer this one I'd appreciate it.

The ETA is Annis old ship,Vader gives ityou himself. That's why Rebels can't do it.
Remember Rebels can still fly the thing, they didn't stop you from getting one by pretending to be an imperial for a couple of days. They just made it that Vader would only give an Imperial his old rusty bucket of bolts.

Dont you have to be an Imperial to get the mission? How does one pretend to be one?

You "pretend" by working off your -5000 Imperial faction, join the empire, get to at least 4/3/3/3 Imperial pilot (unless you're already a freelance pilot) then do the JSF quest, kill a few rebels, get the JSF deed, generate the ship, then go back to your regularly scheduled rebel scum activities.

You don't need to grind up to 4333 in imp to get it, just go "covert opps" for the night, go imp basically, do the missions, get the deed, then drop imp and go back to being good old rebel. Sure, U won't be able to fly it till you get 4333 in rebel, but U still have a nice ship. Oh if you're master, kit out a heavy Z-95 as best you can before you go imp. Then you have a ship to grind back to master with till you get the JSF.

Are you absolutely sure Kirkmeister? I remember reading that you actually had to generate the ship at 4-3-3-3 Imperial (or freelance) before going back to Rebel. Maybe I'm wrong though.
That's for the ARC, not the JSF. The ARC has a bug with it in that regard.

i wouldnt buy a new one if I were u as it would be smart not to let AI own you. You cant fly it if u didnt do hte quest and only GROUND IMPs can do it.
