You "pretend" by working off your -5000 Imperial faction, join the empire, get to at least 4/3/3/3 Imperial pilot (unless you're already a freelance pilot) then do the JSF quest, kill a few rebels, get the JSF deed, generate the ship, then go back to your regularly scheduled rebel scum activities.
Lol, I read this before reading who wrote it and thought "Now that's my kind of imperial!!!" and then noticed who wrote it

I'm positive, seeing as I'm rebel and own 3. My 2 chars both got one. You can grab the deed straight after Vader gives it to you, then give him a noogie, run off skipping back to your rebel pilot trainer. The start training, just get +ve reb faction so you can carry on training as rebel after it. I re-ground Pilot in a heavy Z-95 and waited till master to generate my ETA-2, so, I'm pretty sure about what I say regards being able to generate it without Imp 4333. As at rebel 4333 u get the same cert.

Well im already a master reb pilot. Im just curious about the logic of denying a Jedi Starfighter to Rebels. Of course I made the mistake of applying logic to SOE dev's. I have no interest in dropping Reb and regrinding ground and space faction. This is a ship that by rights should be available to any faction.

you can fly it after u receiev it. Unless you want 3k of imp fp, which for a rebel isn't much use.

You need the badge of the mission to fly it no ?
Or do you recieve the badge when Vader give the deed to you ?
I m gonna go imp to get the deed, but doing the imp flying mission will be a pain, I d rather just get the deed and go back reb, but I m not sure at all I will be able to deed it once reb again if I don t have the badge of the mission...

Read my post again, I've highlighted the important bit. You can use the deed without completeing the space mission. You don't get a badge, but I'm not bothered to be honest. I just wanted the ship. Once you regain enough skill to fly it, you can generate it, and go from there. No need to do the space at all.

Ive been meaning to ask this question for some time now. What is the reason that Rebels cant do the mission for the Jedi Starfighter? I have a character that among regular skills is an Ace pilot. Why is one of the cooler looking ships denied to dedicated Rebels? If the pilot coro can answer this one I'd appreciate it.

This is a imp missions. Vader will kill you if you were Reb. LOL
The imps get the JSF. The rebs do not need it becase they have the HVY Tie figher. Heck , If I had that load out with guns and weight. I would not need it. The Rebs that cry about the JSF and do all that is required to get the JSF make me sick. Look at the ship the IMPs get and look at what the rebs already get. SICK SICK SICK. IMPs get the JSF for the weight and the guns. the rebs have their mirror ship where they do not need to turn IMP. Who are using training wheels and the game system ?

Do you see a lot of rebel pilots flying around in heavy TIE fighters?

Hehe I was thinking that but hopefully he's Aced every squad, then you can be forgiven for merging the ships into the different factions

Try flying the Heavy Z-95 in pvp m8. Seeing as most people in pvp fly the JSF if I went upagainst one in my heavy Z-95 the guns actually out spread the jsf, so unless u aim off centre then you cant hit the thing. Coupled with it being almost twice the size it's an easier target to hit. Bar the A-wing all rebel ships are a hell of a lot bigger and slower than the imps ships. In pvp where size and manouverability count, if you need to get an edge, you fly something that can match what your opponnant flies. They fly JSF's, so fight fire with fire, that is all. It's an even playing field, where only the greater skill will come out on top, you can't blame the ship if you both have the same one.
