I'd bet that he hasn't acquired nearly as much battle fatigue as I have. That's the problem with those Skywalkers... Everything comes to darn easy to them.

j/k - I'm lucky if I get to cap once a day, I like to keep count to see where I am everyday.
I try to cap once in the AM before work on days I don't go to the gym, and once per night if I can.

I don't even get to cap once a day. Maybe every 2-3 days.

I have a spreadsheet with many calculations that keeps track of exactly where I am which I update after every session. A bit obsessive, maybe, but seeing progress keeps me going. According to that sheet, I'll get the exit quest sometime around August 20. It'll get better, though. The sheet keeps track of when I'll finish the grind based on an estimate of how much I can do each day, and I tend to do a bit better, plus I get a holiday or some extra time once in awhile. I actually expect it to be sometime in June. Maybe even sooner, maybe the Combat Upgrade will make it later, who knows? All I know is, I will get there.

Obsessive? You should see my spreadsheet I made up as a pricing tool for armor. lol. I can tell you exactly how many units of any resource goes into making armor and can adjust my pricing by just changing my cost for any particular resource.

Hah! I made one of those when I was doing Weaponsmith long ago. I just couldn't handle the resource hunting, so I dropped it.

Lol. I can handle the FS grind, but not resource hunting for Weaponsmith. Kudos to all crafters out there! Without you, we'd all be naked, hungry, thirsty, walking TKMs!

You should check the spreadsheets they have going on SWGcraft.com these days.

There's one I can't live without called Jenner&Fooman's weaponsmith tool in the weaponsmith forums there as a downloadable file with a .dll.

After you type in all of your resources and select the schematics you have in another sheet it downloads the materals database from the website and compares it to yours. Then, based on the schems you have it tells you what spawns are better experimentation wise and where to get them.

There is more to it....but that's obsessive. (and after using it for 6 months+ I can't live without it)

Whoo! That's cool. Wish I'd had that a long time ago (we're talking pre-player mounts here), but I think I still would have dropped it. Maybe I'll take it up again some time, but my Gunrunner (MWS/MSmuggler) became a Triple Master and I enjoy that too much.

I can handle harvesting minerals. It's bone and hide that is a pain to get. If I was going to do it all over again I'd go weaponsmith. Do they make an armorsmith tool that works the same? If not maybe I should download the weaponsmith one and convert it for my own use...?

*Edit*
I guess this is getting off topic... lol

who cares...the post title has a dot at this point and it was a mess to begin with.

Yeah, the sheet is configureable to every profession in the game. Meaning if you were a 4/4/1/4 weaponsmith and a Master Doc you could set whatever schematic(s) you wanted to into your template in the sheet.

I highly reccomend it to any crafter...Jedi schematics are included as well

It has every type of resource from mineral to hide and works awesome for armorsmiths too

Despite what anyone in this thread is saying about how powergamers should not deserve Jedi any more than a casual player, that's a lie. If I play 5 hours every day, and you only play 1, then yes I deserve Jedi more. If I work harder in school than some random in the back who never studies, then I get paid more than when he gets his new position at McDonald's. It's a time investment issue. I spend more time than you do, so I'm rewarded. If you can't invest the time, guess what...too bad. That's just how life is. Furthermore, if you want to 'roleplay a Jedi,' go play KotoR or something. You'll be able to play when you like, do what you want, etc. You're going to PvP in SWG whether you like it or not, and there's not much room for roleplaying. I'm not saying that's a good thing, but that's just the simple truth of how SWG is. I don't mind doing the occassional casual roleplaying or trying to play my character out, but when it comes down to it, I'm there to PvP with my Jedi and be as successful as I can. Just because your end goal isn't the same and requires less effort doesn't mean that your goal should offer the same rewards as mine.

I think what you mean is because you play the game 4 times more then someone else you deserve jedi 4 times faster then someone else. you dont deserve it more then someone else just because you spend more time in a short period of time then someone else.

When you have played this game 1000 hours and moved on because you have burned out on the game would you still deserve it more then the casual player that now have reached 1000 played hours in the game 6 months later then you?

Comparing play hours divided on played days to decide who is the best is not allways accurate, while you work 14 hours a day on McDonalds every day, others only work 2 hours a day on wall street purchasing and selling Stocks, but still i am villing to bet quite a bit that they are rewarde a lot more for it then all your hours at mcDonalds.

jedi is not a End game if it was, you would see the Credits rolling over the screen after you gained master Jedi, with the message "game over, Do you want to play again" There is no end in MMORPG, in fact that some of the charme the game type have. Even after your master title you play a vital and important role for the community, constantly seeking new challenges and constantly contribute to the community around you. The master Armorsmith dont stop making Armor just cause they achieved master, not does the Doctor stop healing other people, The master Brawler dont stop playing tank for his friends, or the master marksman dont stop help friends to achieve new goals or travels with friends to expand his or her own chievements in the game.

While pvp can be fun and rewarding in its own way, especially PVP between friends where the pvp is about something either a player driven story or some story driven in the game by the officials, where the outcome might have a meaning beyond just who kills who and how many times they do it.

Friends that pvp dont grief, or spawn kill, only idiots do that. friend fight for the challenge to test who is the better at the time. unknown or even enemies go out of their way to ruin other peoples game experience, this has nothing to do with pvp, its only a lonely souls wayfutile attempt to try tobe remembered for something, and sadly to many to be remeberedfor something bad isbetter then not at all.

Someone said in this thread i wanted jedi out of the game, this is wrong. Jedi is part of the SWG game, in fact i want jedi to have a meaning to have a game beyond mindless pvp to form communities the same way non jedi does, nothing bad with them having their own planet to do it on if thats nessesary but jedi should and have to be more then just mindless slaughter of creatures/npcs or players. other skills then Lightsaber defence and healing have to be important right now they are not, In SWG jedi is nothing more then a mindless modern GI joe with an ancient sword.

Who on earth would use a sword for protection when their enemy is aiming at them with a cannon. Jedi Phew ancient superstitionkid, there is no big force out there controlling everything, if you want something start working for it and stop dreaming about a dead religion. myself I would nto trade my balster for anything its been a life saver more then once.

I started this thread last night, after 3 posts i went to bed, wake up and 3 pages long. Not even going to bother reading all of your crap insults. Once again glad to see people can be constructive, makes me wonder the type of people that play this game.

One moron even threw in something about working at McDonalds... amazing how personal some people take this game.. even the "so called" casual gamers.

I'm casual in my playstyle only. I'm nowhere near being casual about being told "if you want to be a jedi but are a casual player then go get a jedi game, play jedi all you want." when i pay the exact same amount of cash for my server utilization as they do.

Grinding FS xp isn't difficult. It's stupid. Attempting to promote the exclusion of a group of people because they object to doing something stupid isn't laudable. Callinghimself'better' than another personbecause of his ability to do something stupid is well... Stupid.

Isn't that how you're earning your FS XP now? Just clicking a button? Literally, clicking a single button (whichever hotkey you assigned the grenades to) provided you were too unmotivated to look up how to write a macro for it.

If you want to talk making the path to Jedi difficult, I've got no problem with that. Attempting to call this system difficult, deserving of reward and supporting the exclusion of people who might actually be up to any challenge you're capable of meeting short of rearranging their real life to revolve around a game is insulting. And a bit hypocritical from my perspective, given the lack of any challenge outside attempting to give priority to a game in your life. I suppose you'd demand a 10.0 for being able to skate in a straight line the longest in figure skating too.
