Thread: Is it just me?

Stocking a bazaar in a smaller town with your items and a short message and waypoint to your shop could help also. I started out in Kor Vella that way, usually the only clothing items on there were mine and a bunch of looted junk. I got a fair amount of foot traffic that way.

Hmm... I always have my tag up, and I'm searchable, and while I do get occasional tells for custom orders, I've never gotten tell hell.

I get plenty of traffic to my little shop outside Theed. I'm not exactly rolling in money, but I've got a comfortable income and it funds my trips and resource needs.

Of course, when I am on a trip (I occasionally go to Dant to sample DNA, for example) and don't feel like making clothing for people, I do make sure to take off the tag.

So... Maybe I'm lucky, or maybe I just don't go into town often enough.

I haven't gone through tell hell in a while either, thanks to the hologrind. Tailor shops have sprung up all over the place.

Back when I wanted foot traffic last fall, I partnered with a master chef and a master droid engineer, and we put 2 side-by-side medium houses right on the "no-build-zone" line near coronet. Decorated them well, kept them really well stocked, and put all vendors on the planetary map. And of course we cross-promoted and sent customers from one to the other place. Very very nice synergy between the shops.

WOOOOOSH

Traffic poured in. The trick was trying to make it stop after we all got burned out a couple of months later, lol.

It's really funny how that tag works. I logged in last nite, totally alone in the middle of nowhere thinking I could just finish up the two shirt/pants orders I had waiting then log back on my combat character. SIX HOURS later the tells and emails finally stopped. Some nights are slow, some are insanely busy.

Tonight, after logging on my other pc, I had forgotten to take off my title, thinking that it was still off, I'm happily running around town, picking up my resources, dropping off orders. Then I look down and my mail light is blinking frantically at me. A few were bazaar sales, and the others were orders in emails. You would think, after my last complaint, I'd be saying...Yay!.... but no, it's customers requesting that I meet with them because they have no idea what color they want, or what pants has that pocket on the sides and little ones on the fronts? Oh...it goes on. What I really need to do is make some attractive dresses, ent wear and male clothing in a slew of colors and display it nicely all over so they can see the color assortment we can have. I'm going to make all of those necklaces up and put them on my models. So we can see them and display them properly. I shouldn't complain. All of my customers have been difficult, but very nice. As has all of the tailors. Very nice.

Thank you all again for your hard work you put through here to this website, and for helping others!

In battlefield 1942 you can move about on moving ships, but I know that is a little diffrent. I this is the first I have heard of this in a space sim as well.

I think the reason people are not that exited about it is because its a MMO. In swg players are used to being able to go anywhere, there is no need for somthing like that in a single player game, at least thats what I think.

I been tinkering around these boards for a while and havnt seen to many people amazaed by the fact that the y1300 will be "explorable" , I have been in video gaming since the days of pong and have never seen a game where you could walk around a craft, wether it a submarine, tank, bomber, or a spaceship.it hansnt been done before and im afraid people are taking thisfor granted. If iI have missed it, let me know, but as far as I know this is a huge breakthough in game design. All the other sim/games out there have you in a stationary pov, you may have a 360 view or click a menue to relocate inside the craft/ship, but nothing like this. This is a feature i have long wated for.

Im so excited about this fact that you can come from the back of the ship doing god knows what to see what is going on in the outer space through the cockpit widow. Watching a dog fight or dodging asteroids will be fun just watching, this will ad to the emersion of the game better than any other feature they have installed thus far. I hope to see many ships with this option of a true 3d interior. just a random thought from Ratgut...

I'm with you, this is like the coolest thing ever to happen to a video game, I can't wait.

This is a feature people lobbied for for a very very long time and it a great addition that I am really excited to see included in the game. I do also hope they add some interaction, i.e. the ability to fix your ship in space, etc. (like Han). Just moving around and having people on the ship, however, is still just awesome.

Yes i have done 1944 and Vietnam its still alot different than what they are dong here. I would also like to move around the ship to do random maintainance and repairs to the ship while in mid space as well as at a starport, Id like to dock with a spaceport and exit the craft and walk around it and see the battle damage as well but i wont push it that far. I think unreal 2 had some type of ship interaction but not sure if you got to pilot the ship , I believe it was all scripted, maybe someone could let me know about that one.

This would be a great timetoshow the poor droid engeneers some love by making droids a vital part in the repairs and maint. I know the said droids will be very active on the ships but I hope the make them a must ,not just r-2 units, some of the droids they already havedont have specific things that they do.I read in pc gamer that the yt will have cantina like healing, so maybe some entertainer droids are in order (r-2MP3)

Im still a long time combat sim and would love to see this implamented into the combat sims in the near future. I always wanted to rome a true 3d submarine going from station to station also with ai crew members or even a crowded B-17bomber imagine being in the belly of a bomber wile being straffed by an enemy fighter or depth charges going off near . Cant wait...

Yeah, I believe this is the first time I've ever seen it done in this way. It's an exciting feature I remember talking about way back in SWG beta and here it is on it's way. What a great addition.

Yes i wrote a topic on the same in the chat boards before game launch and of course it was shot down and I was flamed. They said it was imposible or it would take to much man power to do so, I have no knowledge of pc programming so I dont know how hard it is. I only wish I knew the flamers who flamed me for such a request. Also got flamed on my "slave" idea lol I still think its a cool idea
