Thread: cloaking
Having been there last night, I'd probably chalk this one up to either a bad template or operator error. You ambushed her when she had two giant kraytes on her. Nothing wrong with that at all, but I'd expect a good BH to seal the deal in that situation. Or try going into cover earlier and moving into position without showing up on the radar. And when you pretend to leave go farther out before getting off your speeder and cloaking to come back. It's kinda pointless if they can still see you on the radar circling back. I know it would take longer, and be sorta like, I dunno, hunting or something.
I'd recommend getting pistols 0003 so you at least have a root. I'm all for BHs and think they're great, but also when you call someone a coward for running into a safehouse then drop your house and run inside when they come out to fight you, you look kinda silly.
Is that wrong?
I've had one MBH come for me who told me - in so many words - that "PvP is part of Jedi, accept it". Well, it's not for me, at least - not when I don't want it to be.
If I considered myself to be better at it and/or I had a sabre that was stronger than a red ice lolly then maybe I'd feel different.

I dont have 0004 CM and im sure most BHs dont so this doesnt really apply to me, does it?
nobody said cloak is the only thing wrong with this game, it's just that cloak is game breaking and we see it more than any other profession

1) I dont have any CM in my template
2) I dont have any Doc in my template
3) I dont particularly want to get rid of cloak - but 95% of the gaming community including Powers users agree that cloak is overpowered in its current format
4) Any Jedi that blames their poor PVP ability on post-cu pearls is a n00b and their comments loose all credibilty in a forum frequented by players who regularly interact with Jedi that actually can play the game.
k just checking that you weren't saying that u sux cause of post cu pearls.
bh's wont quit...theyll just grind jedi...how many bh's here are already going through the fs trees

WRONG - that is EXACTLY the problem with /cloak IMHO. It doesn't bother me too much if a BH mark cloaks and runs - c'est la vie and my bad for letting them. What does bother me is that I cant play in the GCW because I cant declare anywhere without being ganked by cloakers. And before some smart a$$ replies "well dont declare in Coronet/Theed etc then" - I dont, but I still get ganked.

The big difference between a Jedi Cloak and a BH being able to effectively do the same thing... a Jedi is not using it to hunt other players and therefor gain a HUGE advantage in combat. But how about this then MBH Mask. a MBH can mask himself from his marks while walking (like Mask Scent) no Jedi can see him until he makes the first move, but then of course you jedi will complain about BH's having too much content.

as stated if you have cloak...your either lacking in offence..defense...healing...there are alot of melee professionseg the tkm master swordsman combo that can defeat a jedi 1 on 1 .
it is your fault for going overt in an area where cloaked pvpers may be but now you can count itas pvp experience and learn from it
You are aware also that even jedi die from being ganked by large groups of other jedi./..it isnt just non jedi

what, are you new? The first attack was suppose to even us up. Cloak gives an over powered profession even more of an advantage. Giving a Jedi first attack is like making them 2x better (or whatever, you do the math)

Bombdroids should be able to break cloak. That would fix this situation perfectly.
As a Master Powers Jedi i feel this is viable.
Those who don't just want the skill nerfed.
