Thread: An Equitable Alternative to TIE Fighters with Hyperdrives

No proof for my argument,? technically you supportmy argument. A TIE fighter can be modified, just because it does not usually have a hyperdrive does not mean it can not have a hyperdrive. You agree.
We only differ on that a player having a TIE fighter with a HD in JTLS, I say it does not break continuity.
And who the heck made you an Expert? Why am I not an Expert, I am undefeated at Starwars Trivial pursuit dangit!!!!!
I want to have several TIE fighters and they all will have Hyperdrives and crying about continuity is not going to change that because the devs have more common sense then the irrational continuity crowd.

And in reality the only reason there are so many different models of TIE's is so they can have more toys and make more money.......... That is part of the brilliance of Lucas.

lol, can't argue with that.
I was just reading that the Original movies are being tweaked again, the DVD release is not going to be the exact Special Edition release but will be "the incarnations of the films "as George Lucas sees them today." "
The major Change rumored is putting Hayden as the Jedi spirt Luke sees in ROTJ, along with several other changes.
So really an individual TIE fighterhaving the ability to bemodified to have a hyperdrive is not a big change when people can't even decide if Boba Fett died in the Sarlaac or even his origin, who shot first Han or Greedo, or why sometimes Sebulba vanishes from his Pod in TPM.
How about keep the Hyperdrive engine and add a message box.

How can you say that if you add a Hyperdrive to standard TIE Fighter your going to end with a TIE advance??? A TIE advance is a different design with a different purpose, a TIE defender was specifically designed to combat the X-wing. There is more than one way to do anything, redesgning a TIE will yield a completely different result than simple adding a Hyperdrive to a standard TIE fighter. All ships should be able to travel to planets in JTLS expansion, it is a relatively minor bending of continuity and even that is subjective. The Devs agree and it is the best decision, I am just trying to make you all feel better about it. Continuity itself is a subjective thing that is changed all the time anyway, I dont understand all this whining about it.
How is continuity, something based on precedented facts, subjective? Are you familiar with the definitition?
Oh, and Fett didn't die in Sarlaac. Duh.

This is a rumor based on doctored stills.

I think your solution is brilliant. ![]()
No big deal, Jan!
It's just that when the Han/Greedo debate comes into play, that's a pretty clear sign we've strayed waaaay off topic! ![]()
