My theory for a doctor is this: Someone that should be able to run around the battle healing people that need it, curing them or using a rez pack on them, but the whole time being able to dish out some decent damage. So, using that theory riflemen would be a bad choice because rifles do their best damage while far away and prone. Carbines or pistol would work pretty well because they are pretty affective at any range and you can still gets some good hits while moving. For any brawler, you need to be very close to do damage, so as soon as you needed to go heal someone, you would take yourself out of the battle. I am going for pistoleer and am already master doctor. I make it my repsonsibility to run around healing people or pets that need it so pistol is a perfect fit for me

I'm a carbinier besides being a doc, and I find it works pretty well.

I enjoy both combat and healing people, and like grouping, so my template works out pretty well...

Personally, I view a doctor on the field as someone who can rez when needed, heal wounds when needed, hit people with big damage heals to pick them up off the ground and cure poison/diseases. I do not view myself as a mid-battle healer and my groups know what. I do not run around healing people... if they are close to incap, they are going to be incapped. If they are about to die, they are going to die. I will pick them back up afterwards, but I'm not going to run around so I'm within 6m of someone that needs a quick heal. Mid-battle healing is best left to a Combat Medic IMO... for all this, that is why I've decided to go Rifleman. Good damage at a range that keeps me out of the heat. Should my Doctor skills be called upon, I /peace on the mob, run in and do my thing, retreat back out and get back to prone.

Basically, I'm a Rifleman that drastically reduces down time in a group as a Master Doctor.

umm...so you're a master doctor? Do you have any other combat class skills?

When I was a kid my favorite relative was Uncle Caveman. After school we'd all go play in his cave, and every once in a while he would eat one of us. It wasn't until later that I found out that Uncle Caveman was a bear.

Errr ... you do realize that going into bounty hunter requires Master Marksmand AND scout right? Because if you master scout, marksman and doctor you'll have 33 points left over to go into the BH tree, not very much by any stretch of the imagination.

You are not suppose to compare a BH with only one elite profession. You have to compare 2. When you are going to compare a MBH to another profession then you need to use all 250 skill points. So create a MBH template that uses his 250 skill points and create another COMBAT template that uses 250 skill points.

A Master BH cannot master any other profession. THey onlyhave 33 points left after becoming an MBH.

Try comparing an MBH to this:

Master rifleman, master CH, dabbler carbine for kd, and dabbler medic for heals. It is ten times better than MBH with dabbler medic/ch. This combo gets better heals, better pets, and better mind damage than any MBH/dabbler medic or MBH/dabbler CH.

Well you can't reall be a great support character and offensive at the same time. A master doctor is awsome at support, to the point of ressurecting people. Your only choices are probably Pistoleer, carbineer, or rifleer. Or possibly creature handler?

But again, you can't be the best support character and expect to be much of an offensive challenge to a bounty hunter.
