The Y-wing is....a two player ship. One person flies while the other mans the turret. The Tie Aggressor is also 2 player. The Tie Opressor and Y-wing Longprobe are the single player versions of those vehicles I believe.

I've been playing the preorder beta, but I haven't figured out how to get to the special PvP zones yet, is there anything special you have to do to go to them? (I can't get on the beta boards)

Y-Wing, Is a 2 seater... YES! I said a 2 SEATER! One person is on a turret, other one can pilot. However, the Pilot can't fire the Y-Wing's blasters at the same time in a regular Y-wing with or without the 2nd person. However, that's where the LongProbe comes in... The LongProbe is a 1 seater...BUT, you can fire both turrets at the same time.

I head that when a MP ship gets damaged, there are plasma leaks that form. and that you need people to go around and repair them.Could someone explain how this works to me? (like what hapens if you dont repair them, and if you do, does the ship gain a little health back? and can the plasma leaks hurt you? do you need a certain tool to repair them?etc etc)

Hello, My questions deal specificly with the Y wing. I know its not on par with some of the more advanced ships but its always been my favorite shiip from the movies. This is the ship I've most looked forward to out of all of the rebel fighters. Hereare myquestions.

1. Being a older ship is it possible to upgrade it so that it is on par with some of the more advanced Imperial ships? Assuming I use good components.

2. What role does the back seater in the Y wing play. I assume its a tailgunner role but exactly what weapons can that player control? Can they control additional sytems besides weapons?

3. It states in the write up on the ship section that this is a duel role fighter. What exactly does this mean in terms of JTL.? So far I've seen only ship to ship combat.

4. Anything else noteworthy about the Y wing that would be interesting to know?

Thanks alot,

Speaking on experience and personal preference to all those Rebel Pilots out there, i've decided two of the ships I'm getting, Nova Courier and Z-95, but i keep flip flopping like John Kerry on the third. I'm debating whether I should get a Y Wing, a Y wing LongProbe, or an A Wing. Any recommendations?

Everyone I think can get into the Kessel system regardless, however, your respected factions have a respected space station that you are able to get to the PvP zones.. I believe the Rebel's space station is in either Dantoonie system or Dath system. The Deep Space zone, requires that you are a Master Pilot, and have some presige points (meaning additional exp after you are a Master pilot). The Netural pilot are able to choose sides in the Deep space, as overt rebel or overt imperial.

Ok, a few questions.

1) Do multi-person ships require lots? And does ownership of a space ship require lots?

2) What did you prefer playing, Rebel, Imperial or Pirate and which do you think have the best ships?

3) How many ships can you own at once?

4) Is Black Sun a faction you can work for?

5) What ships were not announced?

6) How do you communicate to other ships while piloting?

7) Overall are you impressed or dissappointed with JTL?

There are repair kits for each of the ship components and also a plasma leak repair kit. Normally if your ship gets damaged you either have to fly to a space station or land and repair the parts. Multiplayer ships can be repaired on the fly by accessing the various components inside the ship and using a repair kit. To offset this advantage, multiplayer ships develop plasma leaks after a certain amount of damage that can set you on fire. The plasma conduits can also be repaired in space via repair kit. The way it works is component access pannels are spread throughout the ships interior. So you have to run around to fix stuff.
