how do the missions work? are there missions where you take on powerful things for large rewards and would the credits you get for completing a high paying mission the eqivilant of say 38k rancor missions on the ground? basicly im just wondering if i will be able to run missions and make uber cash like on the ground. oh and does grouping get you better missions in space? (space solo groups?)

You wont get rich from JTL, that's for sure. Basically, the monetary rewards are very slight. But considering the rampant economy on the ground I think this is a good thing.

Well, there isn't a space mission terminal.. What u have to do instead is go to your trainer and select the "Duty missions".. What a duty mission is, is a opened-ended mission. Which means you go into space, go to a waypoint, complete the mission, (example, kill tie fighters), and then another waypoint will spawn and u go to that one and rinse and repeat.

I'm not sure about high paying missions however, i'm still one trainer tier 3... You would want to be in a group in this one, all u have to do is shoot the group's target a few times, and let your group destroy it and u get the same exp.

Duty missions sound good, but how much cash do they give?

Yes, something I was wondering is in addition to quests are there also like "money" missions like on the ground? Or can these quest missions be repeated for cash?

ATM the only missions are those required to climb up the trees. Solo grouping in space will be difficult to impossible to accomplish. As it stands right now I've yet to hear of someone getting master without grouping for the last 2 tiers of XP.

HOWEVER, other content sources are being worked on and will be added soon.

anyone got pics of hyperspace, or can they at least describe it? How quick is it? Is there a loading screen? Is it a cutscene, or can you get up and walk around while in hyperspace?

Hyperspace works like this:

Cockpit view (cuts to if you are flying in 3rd person mode) --->white starlines. Cut to exterior view of ship as it blasts into hyperspace. The screen spins for a moment and we get a loading screen. Once the new sector is loaded you see the mottled blue tunnel until you SNAP back into the new sector. Pretty sweet!

Well.. The exciting thing is.. Yes there is a real-time cutscene.. In multi-passenger ships, Remember when Han Solo entered Hyperspace, it showed the cockpit and you see the back of Han's and chewy's head, the streak of light, and then it turns to the outside aft of the ship, and it goes super fast while the camera is spinning? That's what it's like.. it's really cool!!

However... No u can't walk around.. It's a loading screen after that.

Let me also explain that, Tier 1 missions you need exp for each box on the 1st row, Tier 2 missions, you need exp for each box on the 2nd row... BUT! Tier 3 missions you JUST need to complete a mission ( 1 mission per box), noEXP needed, and u get atotal4 boxes from the 3rd rowuntil u have to go to Tier 4... I'm not sure what system Tier 4 follows though.

Let me tell you though... Tier 3 missions that they send you on are pretty hard.... If u don't have the latest components for your ship.. You will die.. Also, It's 1 mission but has several objectives, so in other words your Tier 3 trainer sends you on 1 mission that has about 5 objectives... The Tier 2 and 1, just has 1 objective per mission.

Once you get enough exp for the Tier 1 and 2, you have to complete a mission to gain 1 box, then grind, then complete a mission and get another box and so on.

Hope I was clear lol

Ah cool, NDA is lifted! I took about 30 screenshots last night of the various crafting screens and a couple space shots of the newbie privateer ship (which personally is very cool).

Recently they put in some mass and energy consumption changes on the ships (along with maneuverability changes which make it much more star warsy in terms of dogfighting) that will make even the starter ships viable at high levels. I can easily see people owning a pimped out starter ship like a Scyk for specialty fighter/interceptor role. I know I probably will!

So I can get a player-crafted Z-95 and if i customize it enough, it'll be a worthy ship? Like I wont be hopelessly owned every time if i customize it enough, right?

If u have very good components (which means you have to be high in boxes for good parts) and you are a good resourceful pilot, then you will be ok

Ah cool, thanks. Also, what's the difference between the Y Wing and the Y Wing LongProbe?

You don't have to be certified for the Vet Yacht, you just need to be a qualified Vet to get the yacht. Your second question, you can only be 1 pilot profession at a time.. However, if u were for example and Master Rebel pilot and wanted to be a Master imperial pilot.. As long as your ground faction isn't negative imp, then you can easily switch and because u mastered a pilot profession before it goes TWICE as fast as before

The longprobe has 2 seats. Pilot and gunner. The gunner gets his own tuerrt. =)

BTW. THE FIRESPRAY. You are certified to fly the Firespray at master pilot. (every pilot profession gets it at master)

Now, you get the 9 use firespray schematic by putting together 8 data disc that you get from reverse engineering Kuat loot drops. Now, from my own expirience I can say that the data disc are pretty damn rare. Havn't found one yet myself. But someone else has already crafted a firespray, havn't seen it yet though.
