IGNPC: Where do ships reside? Is there a special docking area on each planet? Some sort of sub-orbital hitching post? Do players actually take off and land manually or does the game just warp the player between the planet surface and the stars?
To those who can't twitch, get a freighter type craft, and set the gun turrets to autofire (like in XWing Alliance). I hope they include that functionality for the untwitchables. As for me, I'll be flying rings around you in my TIE, but at least you won't be totally helpless. ![]()
I remember reading somewhere a Dev saying they were not going to allow atmospheric flight, so i'd be surprised of they allowed this. But who knows what's changed since then. *shrug*

Haden Blackman: Craft are stored on a player's datapad, similar to the storage of vehicles in the base game. Players deploy ships at Starports that currently serve as shuttle depots in the more populated cities.
Notice that Shug responds to the first part of the IGN question, but dodges the second part. As others have already posted, I'm very concerned that you will /deployShip out of your Datapad, right click on the ship, choose "Enter Ship," and then sit through another 30 to 60 second loading screen while "space loads."
Please let us fly out of, and land in, spaceports!!!

I don't think it will be possible to fly out of spaceports for technological reasons the space flight engine is completely seperate from the ground based engine it will need to load.
Land is cluttered enough.... if you add lots for parking spacecraft....would be ridiculous.
Yes it would be nice, but think......just would be an awful site.
Twitch is a good idea i dont like the fact that rpg players feel shafted but i think the main dogfight aspect of it all could not be done any other way.If you suck at twitch fly a freighter around and steer clear of fights with everything.I think if the skills you got working your way up the tree determined how much accuracy you have while at the same time your flying and shooting in real time that would work kinda both at the same time. And for all the people crying about twitch style just hone your skills.Thats the cool thing about twitch games you can acutally get better with time at a real pace you cant go from being a novice to a master in 4 hours being afk.
This is gonna seperate the men from the boys so to speak and im ready and many will die by my hand.If you cant play twitch get out.Peace cya next time.
