JustG, you asked for ideas on which threads should be opened to public access when JtL is out. This one would be cool to open for everyone imo

Hey devs!!!
I really enjoyed the Kill a Dev events! On Friday, I believe I spotted Kylaena (at least i think it was Kylaena) and another dev with only 2-3 rebels fighting them in the tatoonie sector. I hopped in and managed to kill the other dev once and kill Kylaena twice.HAHAHAHA...but then Kylaena came back and showed me a new definition of "pwned". It hurt.
lol.. zing!Yes, it was quite fun. I got pwned several times. It was awesome
Glad you had fun. Perhaps, we'll meet again. MUAHAH!
Haha...bring it on...just don't bring your other half (who is appartently the worse half according to this post
*looks around* I guess he post enough to not be prodded in here
EDIT: AHHH..i forgot to quote the post...give me a minute

Hi everybody I'm Travis "Shadowbrak" Hicks. I've been with the team about 18 months now and worked on the data portions for the spawning and mission systems for the ground game; as well assome of the features for the Imperial Crackdown, and the two droid publishes.
For JTL I am in charge of the privateer mission implementation and balance. We have a thread running in the mission issues section where you can read about issues and post your feedback.
Thanks.

Hi everyone,
I'm Jeff Dobson and I am the Lead Artist on on JTL. What does that mean? It means I got to do some the cool stuff early on, but got too busy making sure stuff is getting done and in the game to do anything terribly exciting myself anymore. These days I am mainly tracking down little polish bugs and trying to get the last few things in the game.
This is my first post here, though I come through every now and then to see what's up. I am usually overwhelmed by the sheer amount of posts here. Keeping up with it all seems like it would be a full-time job in itself. If you have anything that you think needs my attention, let our community folks know to get my attention and I will try to and stop in.

Wow, you guys move fast. Today's post will be in Question-and-Answer format:
"Oh and Flazm I'm really sorry about what happened to U10, it really must suck if they trash all your work like that."
Nah, it's cool. Ultima is an awesome franchise and I'm sure something cool will happen with it (or not, who knows). Games get cancelled all the time, and good people find work. There are several UXO veterans here at SOE now. The great thing about working on SWG vs. UXO is that SWG is a real, live product with honest-to-god fans and customers. Then, to put something groundbreaking like JTL on top of that is the best of both worlds: an existing foundation, with the freedom to do something awesome.
"Did you ever work on a FPS game? I seem to remember an Adam Hunter with Renegade or UT."
Yes and no. UXO was actually based on the UT engine, so I was on a bunch of UT 2k4 lists for a while. But I never worked on UT or Renegade. I'm too n00b for that. :]
"Is it possible, sometime in the future(enough on your plate for now), to make it so bazaar screen settings stick? So if I reduce the "Bid" section to like I6000I...That it would stick, and no more retuning the settings everytime I log on?."
This would arguably be in my little possibility space; I will certainly ask.
"SpaceUI comm, is purdy! I love the taunts and when I communicate with the stations. This currently bleed over to ground..Fixed today. But, it's too purdy to only be in space. Toggle for "speech boxes/comm" on ground? please? It's just so purdy and actually functioning so well. sometimes, the speechbox ui, bleeds out of view, if you're in odd angles..a comm screen wouldnt do that."
Where exactly would you want to use it? On the ground you can see the person you're talking to, so the vidcomm doesn't seem neccessary, or maybe i don't understand your question :]
"How many of you developers will be sticking around to work on the ground game after JTLS gets released?"
I'm personally off to Tahiti to bask in the sun and collect large royalty checks payable entirely in Mai Tais. Oops, here comes Rich! :]
"I was wondering if you have heard of any issues with Radeon 9800 pro Graphics cards?"
Yes - they cost too much. Hah! Actually I have one of those in my machine right now and it works great. But feel free to PM me with screenshots - or better yet, don't be afraid of the tech support forum. They don't bite. :] And make sure to update your drivers, etc., etc.

Ha, know I'll get one starred for this but...
Why don't you guys post on the non-beta boards? I mean...most players are pissed and think this game is run by JustG, Vass, Thunderheart, Tiggs, and a room full of alcoholic monkeys. At least make a few read only posts

The issues I'm looking at today involve grouping and the way groups are handled in the UI. Tomorrow I'll probably be working on something completely different!
Hurray! We need a really good groupinterface, and im really happy someone looks into it.
That will take you more than one day thou /wink.
Great work on JTL dev-team, I have lots of fun, and withdrawal syndromes when server is down, that oughta say enough.

I thought you meant that JTL was going to break the ground game. Scared me for a while
