Thread: Is it worth it?

Hello all, i just have a quick question. currently i'm 0/1/3/4 and was wondering if it is worth it to train in Invest? here is my problem with this: i currently get missions that pay for around 8k on the same planet. i can do these pretty quickly - usually two in about twenty minutes time. i trained in invest I and got a max mission for a little over 10k. it took me a half hour to get everything done, and i know that was probably a lot slower than it could have been done, but the way i see it, after the amount of time it takes to do an easy mission, then you factor in the ticket costs, healing, etc for the hard missions - it just seems better to keep doing the easy ones over and over. i'vebeen doing non-stop missions for a week and have already made over 500k. can anyone tell me how much the invest 4 missions pay and if it is worth it at all to go up this tree?

If you have to ask .. then the answer is NO. The Investigation IV missions pay 13.5K each approximately, but can cost you in excess of 8K in travel expenses and droid expenses to complete, and take as much as an hour of your time. No one works Investigation to get rich, that's what Endor is for. We work Investigation to become Masters.

If you're going for master, it's worth it

If you're interested in cash then no, not atm. The best missions you can get pay a little under 14k but they take 30 minutes to an hour, and are often on remote planets, with travel expenses and all.

Net gain is 5-10k an hour.

The higher in invest you train the less money you make. I am currently working up to the 10k cap, and even after that I want to wait to stockpile cash before I do invest2.

I've been hearing so much dissatisfaction w/ commando that I'm beginning to second guess my decision to go into it. I'm about to start, but I'm starting if I should go into BH instead. I'd just like to hear from some of you out there on whether commando is worth it anymore

I like being a commando, but then I am a group with a few other people commando. Not sure if that is what you want and I know that performance in a group is not important here in determining our good and bad points. In a group, a commando really shines, and I don't mean pets.

So much of what you will read on any profession forum will deal with how they do solo against anything else and how they are inadequate. For me as a commando, I get a real woody when I group with a class that can do range knockdown like a carbineer, add in a melee class and the three of us don't need me to special to get incap's in PvP.

I love being a Commando. Granted, I just recently made Master, and have only been working at it for 3 weeks or so, but I can tell you in all honesty that I have been VERY happy overall with being a Commando. It takes a great deal of tactics and the satisfaction of walking away alive (even after an incap or three) from a powerful opponent is very gratifying.

I've definitely had a blast with Commando (pun intended). How long I keep it before moving on to another profession, however, is yet to be determined...

I hope you can translate that for me, because I don't speak that language (whatever it is). Do you not have the time to write out your opinion in the forums in simple 1st grade English??

I think he said something about a commando and a master makers man whatever that is.

Seriously, though - maddogs is completely off his rocker. I'm a BH with 0-0-4-4 and I have a friend with flame 4. He does at least as much damage as me, and I've got some decent weapons...

To all the new Jedi's/Soon to be Dark Jedi's.

One question is it worth killing your roleplayed character? Another words is it all the hype or is it just a gloried title?
