After you have achieved the skill requirements required to be a Novice CH can you surrender those prerequisite skills as you move up the CH ladder (or any other professions for that matter)?

So long and thanks for all the fish.

There are only 3 trees to master, hence less then average characters can master.

However Jedi Skills cost nothing. That's right not cash or skill points, they might later but for now they are free.

I am not at the game now.... but I was wondering if someone could tell me how many skill points it took to get master CM. I am almost a Master pikeman with 77 skill points that will be used.

You don't have to keep a weapon line in marksman, 0004 is fine. But, you still won't have enough points for master TKA and master CM.

Yeah, the SP cost is a commonly overlooked downfall of our profession... and I think it's actually good you can't get TKA/CM. Since CMs remain unarmed all the time anyway, if you were a TKA you'd still get your bonuses all the time. Point being, there's already trouble with poison/disease/burstrun tactics, so allowing unarmed toughness to be available at the same time would make things MUCH worse...

can we please get space expansion skill points... its not fair if everyone who buys space expansion has to drop combat skills or whatever while everyone who doesn't gets to keep there elite combat templates. I think this will make pilots only fight in air and anyone who didn't buy the expansion will dominate the land. Just a thought but it really upsets me that i will not be recieving anymore skill points for space expansion professions.

How about jedi's won't they have to choose between pilot and pvp jedi? My dream was to do the quest become a pvp jedi and a pilot worthy of flying anything.

Any comment on what i said. I hope i am wrong

Do a little digging before you complain.

Nothing is finalized yet.

Devs are going to wait for Space Beta before messing with skill points.

They said that they would like to impliment anew type ofskill points for space or either add more skill points to the existing 250.

quote

Skill points for pilot classes are separate from the standard 250 SPs for the terrestrial professions. They do not spill over, count towards or against, or otherwise impact terrestrial-based SPs in any way. This also means that anyone can be a pilot without having to worry about giving up terrestrial-based skills in order to earn piloting skills. quote

The latest E3 info indicates that piloting will be seperate from ground skill points. The shipbuilder profession is more unclear right now, but it's very possible that it will use the ground skillpoints (and be based off the artisan profession). Nothing is set in stone though, so things could go either way once beta testing starts.
