The medic gets experience equal to one fourth of the total amount of damage healed. So if only 400 action damage was healed, the medic would receive 100 medical experience. If 400 action and 400 health was healed, the medic would receive 200 medical experience. That's why healing entertainers takes so long, and why having bralwers warcry lairs is so much faster (as the cost is from all three pools).

To stay off the BH terminals:
1. Do not kill NPC's
2. Do not use your light saber or force skills with other players in range.
If the BH has a mission on you he will have a TEF on you.

1) Robes or BE Clothes ?
I know that the +250 Force and +10 Regen is very useful (Paddy PJs) , but with a decent set of clothes I have +20 melee defence. It doesn't seem to be making a diffrence PvE except force bar is slower to get healthy.

2) Force Speed ?
Is this useful at all ? I know it doesn't speed up my saber, so what exactly is this doing for me ? Doesn't seem to reduce the heal lag either.

1) At low levels and in PvE, you'll usually want robes. Maybe if you're fighting high-level enemies in PvE with a full Jedi template, that +20 melee defense might be useful. In PvP, most melee professions will hit you no matter what your defense is, so unless you're low-level with master TK or fencer, the clothes won't make a big difference. And if you're that low-level, you might want to change into composite anyway.
2) Force Speed is supposed to speed up your rate of attack with the saber. You won't see any difference at master LS, but if you're 0040 or something, there should (in theory) be a difference.

Does melee defense reduce the amount of damage taken or does it increase your chances of not getting hit by it?

melee defense is the chance for them to miss you not reduce the damage and it will only work if you get it like 90 or higher...lower then that you dont see much misses..125 melee d is max by the way...
force speed 1 is a little faster even if you dont notice it actually look in your combat window you will see that you hit a little more often....
force speed 2 is significantly faster

It affects chance, not damgage related. Jedi / ls toughness will affect damage.

Use the BE clothes and get vegisparin (I don't know if that's spelled right). It gives you another boost to your melee defense rating and really helps a lot.
Using the BE clothes also prevents you from forgetting to take your robes off and then taking a shuttle someplace with lots of people. Wearing robes around people raises your visability.
There is also a bug that when you put on other clothes, others still see you wearing robes. It is currently unknown if this is something that will raise your visability.

Thanks guys, the last few posts help a lot. With the template I'm looking at I will be in around the +110 melee defense (Buying/loointg attachment when I can). So ................ from the above posts that will seem worth while.
I'll have to experiment with the force speed and see if I notice the difference.
