1. No new planets in the expansion

I got a bad feeling about this. I sincerily hope that a good amount of content will be added to the current planets in the SE to suppliemnt this. Flying through space alone is not gonna satisfy most player's ideas for content.

So as I read it, it would be impossible to be a rebel but go up the Neutral pilot profession, correct? If you are in the Alliance you can't fly any ships but Alliance ships, and Vive Versa.

Wow, Cribson isn't the only one with a small puddle forming on the desk. It's awesome to see that things that I personally never though would happen have been included or have been / are being looked at for future additions.

Thanks shug, this info is great.

Especially the part about you wanting to hopefully add more multiplayer craft in the game besides just the YT-1300. If you do add extra multiplayer craft, please PLEASE make one of them be the Imperial Lambda Class Shuttle. I mean, you already have the models and animations for it in game all you'd have to do is create an interior for it (shouldn't be hard since it's basically a large cockpit and a cargo/passenger room), get the rear turret working, and apply a physics model to it. I was so dissapointed to see it wasn't already a confirmed ship to be in at launch so it'd be great for you guys to add this.

Another good multiplayer ship that a lot of people would want is the YT-2400, which is the basic model for the Outrider that Dash Rendar used in Shadows of the Empire. It's a nice design and neutral as well.

I too give my extreme thanks for the attention and clarification.

I've followed incoming info closely and It looks like the remaining real issue that most people are very concerned with and unsure about is the pilot boundaries.

This is likely still not set in stone, but as an imperial who loves the Hutt faction, I'd probably go neutral if I had only one choice..But would still stay imp to keep my ranks if forced.

Thanks again for all the hard work

I overheard some discussion of this at E3 and they said it would take up too much bandwidth in the game and is unnecessary when you could use things like TeamSpeak to do it currently. TeamSpeak might slow down your client, but would not put strain on the game servers. Or at least that's how it was explained to the guy who asked.

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

2 questions.

1. If I switch factions...i.e. rebel to neutral, rebel to imperial...etc., will I lose all of my piloting skills in whatever form the skill trees take...i.e. I master the imperial side of piloting...but for roleplaying reasons or just from boredom (pretend I am a powergamer, trust me you could be years of content in the game, and powergamers will exhaust it all in less than 3 months...) I switch sides. Will I lose my skills and have to "level up" all over again. This would be extremely weak...frustrating, and completely illogical. A fighter is a fighter. A ship is a ship. There are differences, yes, BUT...this is just a game, and it just makes zero sense that I would suddenly become dumb and ignorant/inexperienced when I dropped my faction and took up another. Clarification on this would be nice. And I know eventually it will be clarified, but just thought I would bring it up.

2. It will be nice not having to buy a starship again and again (due to griefing or whatever), at the same time, what will be the point in keeping the Shipwright profession after say 4 to 5 months, due to the fact by that time everyone will have a starship of their own, and most vendors will be overstocked with them? Do Shipwrights get the sole skill of repairing starships? Do Shipwrights get to make upgrades for starships, that can be added "after" creation of the ship? Are there any other reasons to keep it after the first 4 to 5 months? If not, then what's the point in keeping it at all except to have one around in your guild, for whatever may happen...?

Thank you for your attention to these 2 questions and I hope to hear some clarification on them in the near future, though I know you all must be immensely busy with Fan Fest, Publish 9, polishing up JTL and implementing beta for it.

Will players have enough skill points for both factioned and nuetral Pilot? Like, would a player be able to master both Rebel and Nuetral pilot? I want a B-Wing and a YT-1300. Will I be able to get both? That's all I want to know! /Cry /Sniff /Cry

You said the 'larger ships' you'll be able to walk around in. This is an easy one- will there be a 'larger ship' for each faction? One rebel, one neutral, one imperial? Or will it just be the YT-1300?

Currently, there are three versions of the YT-1300, one neutral, one rebel and one imperial.

good question Arkon...

perhaps the cannons will be locked forward or perhaps have some sort of gunner droid.

Also, for some extra multi-player ships, how about the Muurian Transport from the X-Wing series?

One last thing... we all know lasers are standard on fighters, but what about some larger munitions like proton torpedos and concussion missiles? Will these warheads be usable?

Yes, that is why you don't see it online games, at least to my knowledge, it is much easier on servers to do chat boxes, and takes up less space both client side and server side.

The Imperial Shuttle has received a lot of discussion on various news articles as to weather it will be in the inital release or not. Especially since the ground version of the shuttle is featured soo much in "The Empire Divided".

Sinceit would be concidered a multi person craft and you stated that the YT-1300 is the only multi person craft definately making its way to the shuttle unless a few more can be squeezed in whatdoes that mean? Willit will not be making an appearance in the game as a player ship initially? I would hate to see it only as a single occupant ship.

There are 4 new professions: Alliance Pilot, Imperial Pilot, Basic Pilot, Shipwright Essentially true. There will be four new professions, including the Shipwright (makes ships), the Imperial Pilot (fly for the Empire) and the Rebel Pilot (fly for the Alliance). We're actually calling the "Basic Pilot" a Privateer - a mercenary pilot rather than a faction-affiliated pilot. Progression through all three of the piloting professions will require XP (gained by fighting enemies in space) and completion of story-driven mission arcs (as an Imperial, you might be asked to deal with a Rebel presence in the Tatooine system, a mission arc that culminates in a showdown with a Rebel fighter ace).

Ok, so does this mean that if i am an imperial pilot and a Bounty Hunter, i will have to fly my tie fighter to hunt down my marks? Id like to be able to use my Tie fighter for the GCW yet use my Firespray (for example) when im doing bounty hunter missions.

Anyone want to answer this?
