My first PVP dogfight in deep space. 20 minutes of pulse pounding adrenaline pumping gaming goodness. I was physically exhasted when i jumped back into a "safe" system. cant wait to do it again.

Being a gunner was really cool. I like how you guys did that.

My best experience..

I’m a Dial up user, so I had to take my machine over to a friends house to download the update. All the while he’s laughing at me telling me that there is no way in hell will be able to play JTLS. "Its Twitch based, your going to lag into oblivion, you won’t even be able to load it".

I got my machine home dialed in and loaded up, and have been enjoying it ever since. I play PVP, single player with the same ease I play the ground game. SOE, YOU SO TOTALLY ROCK!!!!

More absolute best memories was my squadron breaking formation to attack a patrol of Ties it was like something right out of the movies. (Did I mention that SOE Rocks??) The assault on the Star destroyer, crafting my first ship, Joining teh Rebellion for the first time.

I can’t wait till retail to share this experience with the many friends who weren’t fortunate enough to get in beta.

Good times ahead people....Good Times.

what I enjoyed the most (although very short lived) was my first confrontation with an Imperial Star Destroyer. Heared they existed in outer space, so went to Dantooine, found the station and flew to the region where they patrolled.

When I arrived I quickly spotted one, flew around it so I can see it from the front. then proceded to fly up its nose, took some screenshots and wondered why it wasn't firing at me. that's when I realized it still was about 800m away ... damn that thing is HUGE.

Finally it started firing at me, guns blazing everywhere, I went out like a flash.

Second time I was there I approached it from the rear, spotting those enormous engins, managed to hide directly behind one of those, but again, has guns nearly everywhere. Started tabbing through all the gun mounts ... and stoped at 24 I believe ... how many does it have??

Can't wait to take out one of those things on live with a full group or two

I really hated the fact thatI couldn't fit in more time on the beta server. If you thought the 10m shuttle was a timesink, try getting a new girlfriend...

Anyway, my most memorable moment was from the "pre-beta dirty demo" the correspondants got during our trip to Austin. We were getting auto-spawned into the Deep Space zone, randomly assigned either an X-wing or a TIE (can't remember the exact model off-hand). Things were wrapping up, so I decided to do a suicide run against the star destroyer, just to see what happened. One way or another, most of the gun turrets had been destroyed, so I wasn't taking any damage. I'm flying in at max speed, s-foils closed, the star destroyer is just looming on the monitor. At about 500m out I hit the booster and aimed my reticle right at the conn tower. Closer.....closer.....almost there....

Impact!

And my X-wing sat there just bouncing against the star destroyer's hull. I guess the collision damage code hadn't been implemented yet.

My strongest memory? How initially fustrating it was to build a fully working ship given Beta tools. Fustrating as all hell when you don't know what you're doing or where the character builder special resources are (which still doesn't make sense to me).

I'll certainly be leaving ship design to the real shipwrights later this week. LOL!

1) First time I loaded into space. No flight sim experience, no clue how to navigate, this feeling of anxiousness and anticipation, finally getting my ship moving, enjoying the view, laughing my head off everytime I fired my blasters instead of doing whatever it was I meant to do with that mouse click...surprising myself by actually destroying a target. Woot!

2) Hyperspacing. I still just go on hyperspacing tours from sector to sector to sight-see the beautiful zones and to enjoy the hyperspacing effect.

3) Multiplayer ships are the best. I've been up in the YT-1300 and the Sorosuub and loved them both. Nothing like being inspace with friends. I'm probably going to become one of those space crafters, just because no inside of a house could compare with being on the Sorosuub and looking at space while you craft.

4) The day player placed structures and objects within 64 meters of them disappeared. When something goes badly wrong, you just have to throw up your hands and laugh at the silliness.

All those great people who saved my tail on those unsoloable missions! JTL has provided me with great group experiences I haven't had in nearly a year. And all those times people PM'd me with "I hear you and your Privateer crew help people with missions," and a bunch of charged to the rescue.

I think it was just visiting the deep space for the first time and just seeing the Star Destroyer there...It was one of those "wow" moments. People who have worked on its model have truly done very good job. Even though a fight with pirates at Lok system was fantastic experience as well. Ittook place in middle of those huge asteroid fields - It wasreally fun to dodge the asteroids, take cover amongs them and finally after many minute battle delivering the final blow to the pirate ship.

Fetching together my first OWN ship! Launching it into space and hyperdrive for the first time!

First time at the Sorosuub and leaving the pilots chair, lookin' out and exploring the ship....

Second time on a Sorosuub, this time with some friends and interact with them in the ship!

(I think the MULTIPLAYERSHIPS are the greatest fun of JTL!)

Bad that I never had the chance to get in a "Falcon".

So I must wait at live for that....
