Uh huh...and all I'm reading here is yet another "give Rebels everything, leave the Imperials to rot" thread.

I was able to take down pre-whine T5 A-Wings with a 74 speed engine AND an REed L6. It just involved changing tactics and being a little better at hitting at the farthest distances of the firing envelope.

As far as I'm concerned, the Devs can leave JTL alone since they've already dumbed it down enough to accomodate you all ("all" meaning the "IT'S TOO HARD, I SHOULD BE ABLE TO SOLO EVERYTHING" crowd). All that's left to put in is an autopilot mode that does your missions FOR you.

The Tier 3 reward should be a bib and a sippy cup for all I care now.

Once again, someone fails to read posts before responding.

This post is not about The A-wing in general. My arguement was about the 92.2 speed loot engine with the lovely 13k mass that has been nerfed.

But, now that an engine with the same speed with the same mass can now be crafted....what was your complaint again?

Show me a player-craftedengine with over 90 speed and 14k or less mass and I will retract every arguement I have made.

Ciao,

What engine is that, huh?

Even if they could, which I doubt it, the Y/R/P statswould bein the 40s.

Hi

I can verify the kessel thing with engines, looted last night 104 speed, 69, 69, 68 engine, works like a charm in my firespray. If you want to see it ingame i can show, i play at chimaera and go by the name of

Silverion Hilt.

You must be really lucky. I spent a few hours in Kessel last night, killed lots of stuff but the loot was really bad. The first two hours I didn't get even one drop only credits, then there're one L8 shield and some low lvl stuff, and I finally gave up.

No, acutally the YPR is around 53, 54. Not the greatest, but it works.

Hint:

RE 4 teh win.

Ive looted engines with YPR in the high 60's, and other engines with speeds into the 90s. Gave em both to a SW to settle a debt.. must have made a tasty engine. Oh, did i mention it was around 11K mass? Hmmm tasty.

Better still, had a L9 incom Tri cannon 6/6 on mods with an engery per shot of 13. Another tasty RE treat.

How much time did you spend looting 9 of those L9 to get them RE'ed? With the current drop rate, I couldn't find anything useful in reasonable amount of time.

i had a shipwright last night make me a 91 spd engine with a P/Y/R of 61 at 100 more mass points than the loot engine. she is also working on re-eng an engine who has a top spd of 93 but with 15k mass.

Sorry but I feel no sympathy for whiners and I am freash out of tissues anyways. Just because you have a high level ship does not mean you cram every high level piece of equipment you can within a fighter. A true fighter pilot knows the meaning of balance. So what SOE nerfed an uncraftable part? If this nerf ruined the tactics you use in running that fighter then maybe you have no business being in that fighter for starters.

You've came out of Grammer school thinking you were elite cause you could run through XWA with the invulnerbility and infinities missile cheat on. Now you come to Middle school basking in your feeling of eliteness and then now you've came to high school and the big boy's shut your mouth by humbleing you because you used the "Elite" engine as your crutch to your battle tactics. Welcome to the real world. You know there is a old saying I was taught long ago and it applies today.

What determines a winner or losser in combat is based onthree key things

Pilot Skill

Technology

Luck

Pilot Skill is 80% of the formula. Technology is 10-15% of the formula and Luck fills out the rest of the formula.

Now if you can't win without the crutch of technology I say you now fall in the 50% or below category on the formula meaning you lack severely in skill.

Below is a summery of all the main Starfighters in there STOCK format

A-Wing's being a GREAT example here are as fast as the TIE Interceptor in there stock format and have average shileds and load the weakest laser cannons on the starfighter market along with concussion missiles (lower mass weapon).

TIE Interceptor does 120 MGLT 4 Laser Cannons and is unshielded in it's stock format with no missile launchers.

X-Wing's as stated above are the mainstay of the Rebellion next to the ageing Y-Wing. X-Wing is as fast as the TIE/IN Heavily Shielded, Hyperdrive, 4 Laser Cannons and boasts 2 Proton Torpedo Launchers.

Y-Wings are the slowest fighter in the Rebellion but armed with 2 Laser Cannons, Proton Torpedo Lauchers and a Turrented Ion Cannon all in stock format.

TIE Advance x1 and TIE Advance. These are the first official TIE's with shields and hyperdrives as standard equipment on them. Advance x1 was a prototype in ANH and Advance appeared around the time of Empire.

Now look at the Imperial Fighters which are undergunned but we make due. You as a Rebellion Pilot cry "I can't one hit kill them" like a little XWA player who came into this game without remembering there is no cheat to make your ship invulnerable along with haveing unlimited missiles.

Welcome to the real game where macros does not matter and cheats are nonexistent.

i always thought it was 50% skill, 10% equpiment, 50% luck and 33% intelligence.

There are variations of that formula Cruality The above one is the one I've been told. Either way the statement still stands if they have to use Technology as there primary means to "Win" then there's something lacking severly in the skill department. I belive it'd be safe assume that Skill and Intellegence would fall in the same category.

First let me start by saying I agree that the engine nerf was a kick in the teeth ... TO ALL OF US.

After going through 2 chassis completing all the tier 3 storm squad missions a 74 speed reward engine was nothing but insulting. I needed better just to do the missions.

I did get lucky though.. with my privateer character, who happens to be my alt (merchant/Mshipwright) I sailed through tier 3 in a day, before the engine nerf.

So.. I took her 92 speed engine, found some nice loot engines, shoved them in my little data-pad looking thing and *poof*, now my Imp pilot has a 95.9 speed engine with 890 reactor drain, 9k mass,73 Y/P/R that fits nicely into my 65k Advanced.A little RE-ing with somereactors and I've got a 14k output reactor that wieghs 3k mass. With engine overload 3 (overload 4 shuts down systems, despite only using 9k of 14k output and running reactor overload 3) I have a cruising speed of 1250 and a boost of 1540.

I was also able to RE a sweet capacitor .. 1k energy,900 reactor drain, 7k mass, 44.9 regen.

Sadly the chassis dealer buying loot now kills off a lot of my RE posabilities.

In any event this engine nerf was harder on Imperials than anyone else, though I do agree itwas BS.

Incidentally the best engines Ican make withHQ resources are around 80 speed,30k plus mass, and only 50's Y/P/R, witharound 3k reactor drain.

that is the worse thing. the chassis dealer should only be buying stuff underneath level 3. i have an awesome lvl 6 weapon with 3k dmg and .7 to shield and armor... still not re-eng and only because i can't get 1 freakin lvl 6 blaster.

i have been able to re-eng a cap to 1.2k power 46 regen and 6k mass.
