Thread: Friday Feature June 25 – Veteran Reward Ship

Here is what I want stated.

If a user had an active account for 6+ months. Cancelled account for 2+ month. Reinstates account and plays until JTL. Will said users get the reward.
If no, please explain why for the same amount of consecutive subscription time one user would not be allowed the reward, while another user might. This would most likely be viewed as a bad idea to extend an almost hostile attitude in the reward system to those who have reinstated their accounts and would like to play untill JTL.

It might also be a good idea to go ahead and issue the deed to the ship to remove concerns from players, and if there is an issue to get it fixed well before the expansion comes out. Not to mention it would be a physical reward, had now, that would influence a players want to purchase the expansion.

Now if JTL comes out in 6 months this is a moot point.

There should be some sort of reward for the players who have wasted money ever since the game went to retail. By adding a "Veteran Reward" and giving it to people who have only played for half of the games span, you cheat the hardcore subscribers who have been in here the long haul.

The rewards are nice don't get me wrong. But there should've been some sort of gift given to the people who have invested 2x the time and money as the next guy.

Remember, those of us here since Day 1 are what made this game sell. Not those who joined up half a year into the game.

Suggestion:

All veterans of six months or higher get the ship. However, 12-month veterans get upgraded weapons and armor on the ship.

OK - i looked around for the answer to this and hope im not asking a question that has already been answered.

If I have my force-sensitve slot open, will both of my characters get this ship? or only one of them?

I would think both since you cant play them at the same time, but just want to verify.

thx

if not, i'd theorectically give the jedi character the lady and get the other character a fighter or more heavily armed ship, the Lady

more a ship that relied on stealth more than weaponry to get it through tight situations.

If you think the Force is with you, It's better be, 'cause you're gonna need it. Soon.

To my knowledge, the only way to get this ship is as a veteran (like you can't get goggles with getting the special edition).

Does that mean that even though in the Account detials page when it lists the status as Canceled (game card users see that even the day they have input the game card info, IE it never says active). we can ignore that ?

So where are the *real* veteran rewards?

JTL is at least 4-5 months away, even by conservative estimates. So any noob who's been here a month or so (as of now) will get one when JTL launches.

What about those of us who stuck with SWG through game-stopping bugs (anyone remember being "ghosted" and told, "Sorry, wait for reset" by CSR's even after we went "live"?), broken professions, and more faux pas (/citywarn, or the "improved" Theme Park loot that STILL has skill mods that haven't existed since beta, anyone?) than we can count.

It's blatantly obvious that you guys simply are using this as a hook to make sure people who are irritated that the next two publishes have nothing to do with most players from cancelling - but since those of us who have paid you $15 bucks a month for a year now didn't quit in the first place, I am sure you assume you can forget about us because we are a "sure thing".

I'm not impressed by this in the least - nothing special about this ship when people who just bought the game a few weeks ago are going to get it.

I also expected something for those of us who have been subscribing for a year on the "Anniversary" - TH's ancient slide-show that most of us had already seen wasn't quite what I had in mind. I would have rather had an Astromech Friday Feature - at least it would have been relevant.

You guys really need to start thinking about your REAL veteran players - and instead of super-non-commital evasions you need to let us know you value us - and Haden's jumbled letter doesn't count. Would it have killed you to give us a painting or rug?

It just goes to give credibility to those who say as long as we pay our $15 you don't care what we think - I'd like to believe differently, but from the pathetic offerings in the Veteran Rewards and the 1-year anniversary, I'm starting to think they may be right.

*quoted for emphisis*

While it is nice that people who play SWG 6 months before the SE comes out, this is NOT a Veteran Reward.

This is a simple gimick to keep people like me to keep paying you for SWG while waiting for the SE in the hopes that that will pump some life into EQ in Space.

I have a feeling this "consequtive" thing is going to turn out to be a point of contention with a lot of people, unless a lot of wiggle-room is given. For instance, I've paid for 12 consequtive months so far, but have had a couple of times when the credit card was maxxed out for whatever reason and I didn't log on for a couple of days and suddenly find out that I can't log on.

Given that none of us will know for sure if we're getting the reward or not until JTL comes out, I have a feeling there's going to be a bit anxiety about it until it does -- and please consider cuttingusa lot of slack when it finally happens.
