The question I have is this.... What about those of us who suffered through the first 4 months of insanity, building up to professions that didn't work, unbalanced play, bad missions.... the list goes on. I stopped playing because all the things I was promised on the first day were not there.
I am back now because those issues are being addressed, but now I have to put an additional 5 months in to get it. What about the large number who are in that situation? Any "Reward" plans for us?

I think the reward for veteran players is a great idea; however, I think the method of determining who is a veteran player is ridiculous. Shouldn't it have more to do with the game itself, and not how many consecutive months you paid for an account? I won't be affected myself, but obviously (as many of the different posts go to prove) there are many people who are getting passed over because of monetary and account issues.I shouldn'tbe considered a veteran just because I have a credit card and have been able to pay every month since I started, while some (including a friend of mine) getthe shaft despite the fact that they have played since before I picked up the game.
Veteranship, as defined above and in relation to playing SWG, should be determined by actual play time of a character. Or, at the very least, by some factor other than account status which has absolutely nothing to do with a person's experience or practice within the game itself.

Nope, the board veteran and the in-game veterans have nothing to do with each other.

you are the **edit** if you read the posts then you would see it dont matter if we use our game cards the same day the old one runs out WE STILL HAVE OUR ACCOUNT STATUS AS CANCELLED! We cant add another card until the current one runs out, so next time read before you open your piehole.

For those atill tryint to figure out if you got 6 straight months go to my account then to billing info and it will list your subscription history. just check the dates to see if there are any gaps

Being totally honest and up front with you here (as always ?)
I think it's a great reward for the veteran player. I can't wait to pootle around space in my own personal luxury yacht. It is damn cool.
But it won't make me stay on till JTL is released. I'll leave all the same. And the reason is that it's just another promise of better things in the future.
Well fine, then I'll see you in the future when they're there and not a day sooner.
And when that day comes it'll be more enjoyable to start over again anyway, after all ... I'll have working newbie quests, a combat system to relearn, I can buy a speeder straight away (I might even be able to modify it !) and a ship to traverse the galaxy with (which I WILL be able to modify) I may be able to make a name for myself racing pods over tracks all over the galaxy, or join the underworld and spend my hard earned favor with the hutts on gadgets and dangerous weapons from there illegal stockpile's, I may even be able to smuggle illegal goods.
or... dare I even say it ... make a difference in the GCW.
Yes indeed the games never looked better now, than to come back to it in 6 months and enjoy it as it should have been from day one.
well done. I can finally see a light at the end of the hyperspace tunnel.

What happens if you played for 6 months then cancelled and picked it back up? screwed? that dosnt sound fair at all
oh waaaah you shouldnt of quit then . give it a rest whiners if you quit due to a temper tantrum or quit cuz you were tired of the way the game plays? tuff crap. deal with it you little babies. i quit for 3 months because i got tired of the continuous bugs.
and i been playing since launch up til march. so im now reset for a 6 month wait.
BIG deal you should of stuck it out.
you dont like it? quit again.
I say anyone who quit, screw you and deal with it . give it to the 12 month players who have waaaay more patients than i instead.
But saying that those that had to quit or doesnt register as continuous due to game cards. and reactivated within the week should still get it as well. Min of one week. If you waited 8 days... ohhhh well, go cry to mama.
Man what a bunch of ingrates. They didn't really have to give you a thing, morons.
Now maybe some of you will think twice before tossing another fit and quitting.
congrats to those that stuck thru it. you are far more patient than i , enjoy

Does anyone know how this will effect the Shipwright profession. I mean, if everyone who has been playing for 6 months gets one of these, and anyone who hasn't will get one when they reach 6 months... won't that suck the life out of people buying ships? Or is there going to be a time limit on this when you have to have reached your 6 months?
How is this actually going to play out exactly?
