Thread: Should a BH be able to pursue a Jedi into space?

I think that YES they should - BUT the Jedi should NOT get a XP loss penalty. The reason being that in space the contest is unrelated to a ground template and thus penalising ground skills when in space is not right. Plus of course in space the Jedi skills don't do anything. But other than that I like it.

I'd love to see this, but it'd need some major restricting. But throw on two guidelines and it's nice and simple.

1) A Jedi, or anyone else, with a TEF can only launch from a starship terminal, they cannot travel.
2) The TEF will follow into space but cannot be created in space.

This would extend the chase, but give jedi a chance to enjoy JTLS BH free if they so desire. Space PvP becomes optional instead of enforced for the jedi here.

I'd love to be able to chase a mark into space. That would rock.

Who else sees the potential for really cool dogfights between KSE Firesprays and Jedi Starfighters after this

Firesprays wouldn't have a chance.

Ok, this is a good idea, but some things would have to change.

For example, there would have to be a tier limit. I am sorry, but if a BH is an ace, and the jedi is tier 2, the jedi has no chance. Not to fight, flee, or run, his only option is to die.

I've been an ace for a good, long time, and am one of the better pilots on my server, I like to think.

But as it is now, there is too much room for abuse.

If they did do it, my opinion would also be that a Jedi cannot be tracked in space if he is already there, but if you are tracking him, engage, and he bolts into space, then yeah, you should be able to follow and hunt him down then.

Im Ace Pilot first NBH second. (Its a Hobby) No i dont see it happening and I dont want to Jedi have Wookieworld now and reg ground game. We reg players need our place and seems space is it.

Remeber no skill points to be pilot. And Skill is needed in space lets keep it that way.

I'd LOVE to be chased into space, as I said. But if it's to be part of it, then MBH's need space tracking abilities, and Jedi need force enhanced pilot skills...

I would agree with this actually think it would be fun. But, tracking droids in space... no. You can find anyone at anytime on any planet INSTANTLY is powerful enough. Extending that to anywhere in the universe... thats just silly.

Since the Jedi are being given free reign on the ground as of Pub 20, while it would be nice to see the hunt expand to space, but I doubt it will ever happen.

Besides, there's a far more important space integration that needs to happen first. Smugglers.

Simple answer, nope.

I bought the expansions, I deserve the right to experience them same as any other player. For the sake of argument, I would support the idea of no xp on kashyyyk as there are jedi wandering around at the moment who can't play their toons because they only ever afk'd, and chances are they afk'd the rryatt.

Take the xp away fine, but let me enjoy the expansions in peace.

Thanks.

"I would be kinda cool, but the only time jedi hit space nowadays is to hyperspace to kashyyyk."

Nah. Lots of Jedi hide in space, AFK in their ships, knowing it's a "safe zone". Staying in space is good for the Jedi because BHs usually drop the mission when they find their mark is there (unless he's got a grudge or something.)

We should be able to pursue them in space. I don't see a reason why not. If you're a Jedi and you have visibility, you should be prepared to be attacked anywhere.

space combat is borked right now....whoever shoots first wins in pvp. You can actually die with full shields and full armor in 3 to 4 hits. It's sorta boring even if you are on the winning side.
