So for $24.95 you get both expansions? So those of us who paid $29.99 for JTL have to pay for ROW, but those who never got JTL now get it for free? How is that fair?
this sux... I just bought a second copy of JTL for my second account, and now ill have to pay 24.95 for JTL AND RoTw???

bundling packages for a product over 6 months old is not surprising. i see no problem with it. i got a playstation 2 when it first came out, and i certainly don't complain tat i could pick it up for less than half the orignal price now.

I think I am going to wait for the box...
A. I like the awesome cover art on them
B. I am not paying extra just get it two weeks early
C. I really don't want JTLS(I already own it)

I agree, that is pretty messed up. Buying a product, then having them give the product away for free a few months later. I think most of us agree they should offer a lower priced copy of ROTW that doesn't include JTL.
What about this though?
"And experience the all new combat system featuring new weapons, new armor, new effects and an all new user-interface to make combat even more engaging and fun!"
Are they saying the CURB will be released with ROTW? If so, didn't they say the CURB was going to be a free download? Or does that mean the CURB patch will go live the same day ROTW is released? That quote is from the official SWG news release of ROTW.
Edit: I get 1-starred for stating my personal opinion, then asking a few questions? Get a life.

Heh, exactly what I just saw.
"Thank you for being a dedicated SWG player and purchasing the first expansion JTL. As a thank you we would like to give you a nice kick in the teeth, will be giving away the expansion you paid for free with the new one AND still charge you full price. Suckers!"

After reading this announcement from SOE, all I can say is...AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! This is definitely not fair to JTL owners, as most of us can all agree that we feel we are getting jipped. Also, because JTL is only a few months old this adds more fuel to the fire. It's not like it's been out for a year already, then including the expansion with the other expansion or main game would seem acceptable (EQ and it's numerous expansions for example) and would not cause such outrage. It's like saying "Hey thanks for buying our product only a few months ago, but now we're going to give it away for free when you buy this other product at about the same price!" Umm? WTH!
However, to look on the bright side of things and to hopefully not jump to early conclusions....SOE says, "Jump to Lightspeed is included with your order of the digital download expansion,Episode III Rage of the Wookies." They haven't mentioned anything about the boxed release yet. Let's just hope that the boxed release(even if it does or does not include JTL)is at a deducted price for previous JTL owners.

problem with that is we wont know details of the boxed release til the box is released 3 weeks after the download is available. So if we want to play it when its released we have to download it. We get penalized 3 weeks if we wait and hope

I can say safely that when they release the game in stores there wont be just a bundle CD set and thats it. If that was the case the term "Bad Marketing" wont even fit into the equation cause that would be beyond anything rational or sane. Im 100% sure that they will release a bundle set with all 3 games included for NEW USERS and also release just the stand alone ROtW expansion for EXSISTING USERS. Plus by waiting might be able to get the stand alone Expansion for cheaper than the Pre Order thats being offered since the Preorder cost $24.95 for both JTL and ROtW. Just gonna have to wait and see what SOE says later one. Until then dont be assuming anything until something has been said offically. If anything from reading all these posts it shows that products drop in price if you wait long enough.

True, I like hard copies too. It seems safer and more conviently (as illogical as that may sound). The thought comes to mind also that in my case I will be getting a new computer in about 2 months so I will have likely already got the download before I get my new rig. Thats alot od downloading to do over.

If they bundle the game in the stores its gonna be SWG, JTL, and ROtW all in one bundle set. Then there will be a stand alone copy of the ROtW for ppl who dont want to pay $24.95 for JTL and ROtW online. The price for the stand alone should fall somewhere between $15-$20
As I said earlier " I can say safely that when they release the game in stores there wont be just a bundle CD set and thats it. If that was the case the term "Bad Marketing" wont even fit into the equation cause that would be beyond anything rational or sane"

I'm mad about this too, but I just want an expansion. I would be REALLY mad if Anakin's starfighter isn't rebel. That thing is too cool to not be a rebel ship.
