AI can be frustrating at times and are NOT always easy to take down lol. The vast majority of ppl in and around beta are pleased with the level of graphics. All I can say is this will be very fun when it goes live.....Strange Omiss not once did I see you in beta lol.

I'm in beta too, he's right folks, as I hate to say it.
Were you these when the frogs handed out pilot skills? There is nothing to do once you've finished the grind. Now that I've tested the the Sorosub and found out that it can be destroyed by any NPC in 2-3 pases I'm really uncertain of weither I'll buy JTL, stick to the ground game, or just leave.

I had alot of fun testing beta. Shipwright is an awesome prof. I plan on buying it next week.
Lets put it this way. If you havent quit grinding FS skills or your Jedi yet this expansion is going to knock you off that path.
Shooting stuff in space is 1,000,000,000,000 times more fun than spin kicking savage quenker lairs.

First of all, i take great offense to being called, well i'm not even going to type it out cause leet speak is stupid. Secondly, it is grind. What missions are available in the beginning? Escort or destroy, which all you do is fight waves and waves of crappy pirates. I'd rather fight one wave of skilled rebels than fight an infinite wave of crappy pirates.

Overall I feel this is just another boring grind.
Just by that you make the game boring for yourself by making it a grind. Try enjoying the game instead of trying to be the l33t l00t d00d who thinks of the GAME as a huge chore and yet whines and moans about how its a grind, when YOU YOURSELF MAKE IT A GRIND INSTEAD OF SITTING BACK AND ENJOYING IT.

I'm not bashing JTL, i'm simply stating my opinion as I see it. JTL won't save SWG, it has to be a lot better in order to do so. I've tried space simulator and flight simulators that are worse than JTL, JTL isn't horribly bad, its just ok. Ok isn't going to save SWG.

I agree with "JTL won't save SWG" but in a different sence. The original poster bashed JTL but I dissagree 100% in his comments.
JTL in itself is a wonderful add-on to swg. It is a great foundation for more things to come in space. We now will live in a "complete" game where we finally havethe STAR in Star Wars. The sence I am agreeing tois that JTL does not fix any of the ground problems and unbalances to the combat professions, so it does not "save" swg in that way. The fabled Combat Revamp and GCW Revamps are what will save (or not) the game.
As I said, we now have the STAR... we just need the WARS.

Dude, read what the devs have said. The Surrosub is INVENERABLE, and you cannot attack with it either. The yacht blowing up is a bug in the beta.

I would actually had to agree with Xodus316. JTL won't be the thing that saves SWG.
Don't get me wrong, it's a fairly fun expansion, but it's not the messiah people have been hoping that it will be. In the end, it will just give a few months of longevity to the game.
JTL is plagued by the same things SWG was when released, albeit a bit less bug-filled maybe. JTL actually has less things to do than the ground game, so once you have mastered your pilot profession you'll say: "What now?".
Sure, one can hope that there will be more content added in patches and updates in the nearby future, but with the history of SWG updates in mind, I just can't expect that to happen.

And people of the public forums, be aware that there exists a consistent body of testers, say about 25-30% who have always and probably will forever complain about JtL. It's impossible for the devs to do anything to please this spiteful bunch. I've been in beta 4 or 5 weeks, and it's the same core group of people slamming the game. You will hear a lot from them in the coming days. You'll likely be able to tell who they are (high drama, doomsayers, whiney) and can safely ignore them.

I've popped into the JTLS beta from time to time through the cycle.. It's not as great as some would have you believe, but its not as bad as others would have ya believe.. But the problem with it is simple, the devs will launch it unpolished and incomplete, just as they did when they launched swg, prepare for the nightly server crashes, the loss of items and any number of other bugs that you will get a canned macro response when you create a CS Ticket that will go something along the lines of "Were sorry you were inconvienced, but there is nothing we can do and your screwed"... Personally i think they shoulda spent the time fixing the current game before even messing with an expansion.

I think I know the week the original poster was playing. Gawd, that was a hard week. I was just so po'ed...then in one day, one patch, everything changed for the better. The whole atmosphere on the boards radically shifted - if we had all been in a stadium, the rafters would have shook from the cheers. The Devs opened up and let us know that they had to slam the variables from one extreme to another just to make sure what they all were and how the system elements interacted. And everyone testing suddenly understood what had been happening...and this tester was certainly embarrassed!
So hey - if you only played during Hell Week, you've missed the flip side of that coin big time!

And the missions are only a grind if you want them to be. The escort missions are fun as heck as the freighters can quickly get away from you if you dont take out the targets fast enough. I found the duty missions very true to XWA or wing commander. If you havent played JTL in the last 48 hours, you havent played it at all. Period.
This game rocks hard.
Come on dude, they give you a non faction tie fighter suit. you can wear it any time. It doesnt get much better than that!

I dont see why SWG would need to be "saved"? It is not as if it is dying, and if they game was going so bad I belive they would rather convert some old servers to be used in Japan rather than opening more servers there.
SWG dont need saving, but JTL is still a great expansion in my opinion.
