God I hate how nilhism is "cool".

SWG doesn't need saving. It's a quite sucessful MMO. It's by no means perfect but no MMO is, especially after only 1 year.

JTL is fun. JTL is challenging. JTL is different from the ground game. You will not have a complete JTL experience if you only fly the first tier of missions. Those are quite easy and the AI is quite dumb. Get your ass up to tier 4 and the master box, and you'll get a much smarter and much more deadly AI. For example, you can't just drop in on the tail of one ship, because it will lead you in front of it's wingmates.

I disagree with the original poster as well, Im sorry but you tested for one week, and all of a sudden you are an expert on JTL? Like another poster said i bet we can pinpoint which week that is, I have to say the Devs have done an excellent job of fixing problems in the beta and in tweaking and improving it. To be honest I went into beta rather sceptically, but have had to admit that it is much better than I was expecting at the time. Is JTL 100% complete, no, I am afraid it isnt, will that keep it from being released on the 27th? No probably not. However for the most part it is a very fun addition to the ground game and many if not most will have a blast playing it.

Yes the AI has gotten way better. Earlier today I was in the lok system and was attacking a squad of tie intercepters. I was able to take out 2 of them when out of nowhere a tie bomber took me out from behind. I had no idea where he came from. Was a blast. I should have paid more attention to my 6.

I"m on the fence about this. It is well made, as was the ground game. I do have fun, but I"m also don't have much time to play as I used to so my time is limited. Since the last wipe I haven't even gotten to train in my first box(about 2 weeks or so) so for me, the expansion isn't too much fun, mostly a lot of frustration and a lot of travel(gonna drag the guy out of the retreat), but at the same time a lot of people do enjoy it.

I think that JtL is the best if you enjoy PvP the way star wars was meant to be. I'm not too fond of the multi player ships as they take up lots, and what goes into the ships a hardcore PvPer can afford.

If you are buyinf SWG for JtL then I think it is a big waste. If you are looking for it as a reason to come back to the game I think it is a waste, unless you enjoy PvPing.

There are still a bunch of obsticals to overcome and I applaud the devs for making it the way it is, but I personally don't find JtL very fun anymore. The novalty wore off after about a week or so for me.

I am willing to wager that the best pilots will be flying with joysticks/hotas systems. There is no way a mouse can compete. As far as graphics are concerned, can't agree with you there either bud. You may be missing a setting or two. This game is going to be a hit regardless. IMHO, most naysayers will never be happy with any game......

It won't save the game, but it will give the game a big boost that will give the devs more time. Weather or not the devs will use that time to try to save the game? That's up to them.

I agree with "JTL won't save SWG" but in a different sence. The original poster bashed JTL but I dissagree 100% in his comments.

JTL in itself is a wonderful add-on to swg. It is a great foundation for more things to come in space. We now will live in a "complete" game where we finally havethe STAR in Star Wars. The sence I am agreeing tois that JTL does not fix any of the ground problems and unbalances to the combat professions, so it does not "save" swg in that way. The fabled Combat Revamp and GCW Revamps are what will save (or not) the game.

As I said, we now have the STAR... we just need the WARS.

Overall I feel this is just another boring grind.

Just by that you make the game boring for yourself by making it a grind. Try enjoying the game instead of trying to be the l33t l00t d00d who thinks of the GAME as a huge chore and yet whines and moans about how its a grind, when YOU YOURSELF MAKE IT A GRIND INSTEAD OF SITTING BACK AND ENJOYING IT.
