199. You aren't planning on giving the Jedi any advantages in space, are you?
No. Thats not fair to do in a twitch based game.
That makes sense from an RP standpoint, too. JTLS will be about players skills, and the main skill advantage that Jedi have in the books and movies is being able to anticipate their surroundings and their opponents. If Jedi players are better than normal players, then they should be able to do better on their skills alone by anticipating just like Jedi.

So it's an elite profession (we already gathered that). But we are still wondering if it's an Engineering offshoot or Master Artisan offshoot. I can't really think what other starting profession would lead to it...Brawler? Heh.
No, its not an elite profession. It doesn't offshoot from either. It is something new ![]()

It sounds like they are going with something like the routeto Politician. A profession that just need Apprenticeship Points to get you started.

Think of it like the Politician Profession, only you quest for it.

OK, so it's not an offshoot, but not a starter profession. So it has to cost something, and that cost has to be obtainable by anyone regardless of profession. So, it's either going to cost AP (like politician) or... what? Faction points? What else can people earn regardless of what their profession is?

maybe prestige? Perhaps you need to do some special rebel questing to receive enough "prestige" points to get apprentice shipwright. Why speculate now? i'm sure once it's locked down, TH will tell us.

So its like Politician, where you just need AP xp to get it?

Kinda like a politican then? If politician requires APs and a city, shipwright will require JTL and somethin' else?

Possibly along the lines of Politician, which is not a starting profession, but still a novice profession. Just something like that would be fairly boring, though. Maybe you'll have to do a quest to get it? That would be pretty cool, and seems inline with how the devs are tying pilot advancement into quests. That's my guess, and I'd be glad if it were so.

TH, I'm very disapppointed in you, answering any of these, when we have not gotten answers to 19 Answers in a month, or any other profession asking questions.
What is your reply to this? Where are the 19 Answers? You just went further down my list.

TH, unfortunatley "NEW" doesnt sit well with most people. Everything NEW that has been put in this game appears to be bandaids to the real problems. Honestly, I'm scared hoe the Shipwright Prof will work.

My guess is it will take space xp to get the novice. Since the person building the ship should know how they work inside and out, it should require at least SOME piloting experience.
...but that's just my guess.
