Thread: A Compiled A Question A Day for the Dev's Question List
I have been reading a lot about the Jump to Light Speed beta testing and all. So far it seems that you are only trying to open it to Veterans on Test Center. But I was wondering. Will regular people who don't play on test server be able to sign up for the JTL Beta. If so when will this happen?? Because personally I really would like to try to do JTL beta and all but I don't usually play on TestCenter.I really hope you can respond to my question. Thank you.
181. What types of capital ships will be available as NPC ships, attackable or not?
182. Will there be seperate PVP rankings for space and the ground?
183. In what ways will bounty hunters track Jedi across space?
184. What stats on resources are required for ships (so we can stock now)
185. Can you request to have static ships placed in various spots around the galaxy now, so that we can see what they look like (Geevo's Idea). The capability exists since X-wings and Tie's have been added for the scavenger hunt reward.
186. When we customize our ships, such as new hyper drive engines or new lasers, will it reflect the overall appearance of our ship? Or will it look like the same ship when we got it? And will we be able to color our ships to out liking?
187. Will there be NPC ships travelling to and from planets, such as freighters?
188. How accurately will the commerce routes be displayed? Will NPC freighters be all over the space lanes? Good immersion there!

Please direct your questions to the "A Question A Day for the Dev's" posts on the forums. This is mostly for a depository for all the questions compiled in each day (or several days). Please ask questions in those threads.
Thank you.

3. Will shipwright be a natural continuation of the Master Artisan's vehicle schematics (MA being the prerequisite) or will it be treated as just another elite crafter profession off of the engineering IV line? ( SaleusCorwen )
As of this week, the answer is now "neither". Very shortly, the JTL Professions portion of the web site will be changed. The design crew has changed the functionality a bit. If you heard the E3 buzz, you might recall us saying, "The Pilot professions will be content oriented, but the Shipwright will be skill point based to balance it with the ground game". Since then, we've changed the profession a bit.
As a result, the web site article on professions will be changing from:
"Jump to Lightspeed features three unique piloting professions which are outside of the regular Star Wars Galaxies skill points. You must go on story-driven missions to advance within them. A fourth new profession, the Shipwright comes off of the artisan profession.

Jump to Lightspeed features three unique piloting professions which are outside of the regular Star Wars Galaxies skill points. You must go on story-driven missions to advance within them. A fourth new profession, the Shipwright, is anew type of novice professionthatwon't be a ‘starting’ profession. Look for more details onthe Shipwright profession as thesaga of theJump to Lightspeed develops over the summer of 2004!
I thought it was important to let you know as soon as was possible.
And hats off to Janson from bringing back "A Question a Day" ![]()
194. Are you planning on merging servers?
196. Where can we dig up the old polls on what newspecies we would like?
199. You aren't planning on giving the Jedi any advantages in space, are you?
