They'd have to balance it. Give Jedi some special ability for space.

If they did that, I'd see no problems with it.

Are you serious? Let's not open this can of worms AGAIN. I see nothing but bad coming from this thread because of this one post.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo,

No special abilities in space for Jedi.

I think BH missions in space, while a great extension for content, would be far too open to abuse and imbalance.

Also, to be honest, I'm not sure how many Jedi actually spend that much time in space anyway, so they probably wouldn't be traceable before they landed.

Far too many problems with being jumped in the middle of missions etc. Can't see it ever happening myself.

no powers no no no :/ a simple yes or no will do, no need to slip and start a flame war, ya know what i mean? :/

Space is about skill. Not attack rolls or mods. If the Jedi isnt Ace and has no skill he should fix that, its the same reason why they grind full temp.

You could make it happen if there were Jedi-specific missions that could be taken in space that would open you to having bounties taken on you. But I wouldn't go for the permaovert thing, personally.. it'd need to be opt-in, either wholly (i.e. you literally check a box that says "Yes, I'd like to be hunted in space") or potentially (through missions that, if failed or completed in whatever way could gain you space visibility, would then get you on the space BH terms).

I wouldn't mind seeing something like that, though I'd also like to see smugglers, rangers, maybe squad leaders and whoever else would be space-appropriate involved, and I'd also like a meaningful GCW up in the vacuum before any profession-specific content were introduced.

Any system that mandates space combat abilities based on ground profession, though--I don't think that's in line with the ideals of JTL.

Good idea. Sort of an opt-in system.

I have to agree with that too. You wouldn't want to say make crafters suffer in space because they are cl1. An Armoursmith may be just as good in a fighter as a SL.

What about tailors? As it dont look like they will give us any schematics we can actually find without a escorte in Trails. Perhaps they can give us space missions for schematics? As of now, there is no reason for me to buy Trails. I really want the yt2400, but with a dwb hard quest, there is little to no chance that i, as a cl 16 tailor will be able to get it :/

Exactly. I wouldn't mind seeing space content that's focused or possibly even exclusive for certain professions (though again, general pilot content should be the first priority), but when it comes to ground professions affecting your ability to fight in space, I think you have to draw a line in the sand.

A Lebowski-esque "YOU DO NOT CROSS.."-style line.

Here's a thought, if Jedi get perma death in space, why not BH too?
